Well El, I would love to be near you but I don't see it happening any time soon :(

I can see Bellingham though I love it there and it's so close to Canada for dh we could go back whenever he felt like it.

Seattle is wonderful but I don't think we can afford the housing market there

According to the link, my top 6 spots are

Honolulu, Hawaii

San Bernadino, California

El Cajon, California

Las Vegas, Nevada

Portland, Oregon

Little Rock, Arkansas

The only one of those that I would have put on my personal list would have been Portland, OR. On my list I would have also had Ashland, OR (too small of a town, without sports teams to make their list, though), Corvallis, OR (same issues as Ashland), Charlotte, NC, Sarasota, FL, and Montgomery County, MD (where we currently live).

One funny thing--the site gave me Frederick, MD as my #10 spot. When we moved to Maryland I was sure that we'd move to Frederick and then when we were looking for houses I didn't like the town at all. I think it's improved since then (more shopping, etc), but I still would prefer a lot of other places.

Isnt that funny T&B?

I thought it was really interesting that places I never would have thought of moving would be listed so high for me!

Now the challenge is to have everyones SO do the quiz too and see if any of the towns match LOL.

I sent the link to my DH--let's see if we'll be moving to the same place! :rotfl2:

I didn't put any geographical limitations on my list (when it showed the big map) because I didn't want it to steer me to one part of the country. Interesting that it suggested a lot of west coast locations--maybe it knows that my heart is there even if my body hasn't been for 23 years.

Wow, my number one is Las Vegas! Never would have thought of it.

The rest of the my top 10:
Little Rock AK
Charleston SC
Las Cruces NM
El Paso TX
Norfolk VA
Honolulu HI
Chesapeake-Virginia Beach VA
Shreveport-Boccier City LA
Baltimore MD

Ooh, I like the idea of New Mexico.

My top five were:

Eugene, Oregon
Corvalllis, Oregon
Santa Cruz, California
Olympia, Washington
Little Rock, Arkansas

It might be nice to live in Oregon.
I don't think I'd go for Washington.
I know nothing about Arkansas.

Santa Cruz CA. baby!!!!!!! Now your talking. :cool1: Of course with the average cost of a new home being $682,000 it's not likely to ever happen.

My top 5:

Frederick, Maryland
Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Danbury, Connecticut
Hartford, Connecticut
Long Island, New York

At least it picked where I live now. I think the only other place I could live is Danbury. I wouldn't be able to live that far from NYC and all the beaches and the parks.

Carlisle, Pennsylvania The Waterfront Capital

These are my top five :)

Waterfront Capital???? :confused3 DD attends school there, as did DH, and there isn't any water to be found. It's one of the things DD hates about it. She's used to orienting herself with the river and the ocean.

Washington D.C. (I've never even visited there!)

Baltimore, Maryland

Gaithersburg, Maryland

Cape Cod, Mass.

and Eugene, Oregon

Cherokee Village, Arkansas

Herber Springs-Greers Ferry Lake, Arkansas

Opelousas (Cajun Country) Louisiana

Leesville, Louisiana

Carlsbad, New Mexico

Truth or Consequence, New Mexico

Mountain Home/Ball Shoals, Arkansas

Holiday Isaland, Arkansas

Covington, Louisiana

St. Helens, Oregon

Astoria, Oregon

Easton, Maryland

Eureka Springs, Arkansas

Hot Springs - Hot Springs Village, Arkansas

Pismo Beach - Ocean - Arroyo Grande, California

Natchitoches, Louisiana

Fallon, Nevada

I know why a lot of Oregon towns didn't make my list--I said that I liked sunny weather. I'm surprised that Portland made my top 6 list.

Hey, what was your criteria? I basically live in Gaithersburg (Montgomery Village--same thing) and it didn't even make my top 24, nor did Baltimore or Washington DC.

Augusta, Georgia
Orlando, Florida .....Excellent choice!!!!!
Tampa, Florida
West Palm Beach, Florida
Charleston, South Carolina

My top choices are :

Brownsvile, TX
McAllen, TX
Scottsdale, AZ
