Looking for some advice on where we should spend the last 5 days or so of our honeymoon trip.

The plan is
7 nights Vegas
9 or 10 nights Hawaii
5 or 6 nights """

Where should we go after Hawaii, we don't really want to fly onto the Carribean as we're not beach lovers and i'm guessing we can do a bit of this in Hawaii anyway. We were thinking San Francisco, but now im not so sure. I would like to go somewhere different. Steve thinks maybe Vancover.

Any suggestions?

I would have said San Francisco/San Diego - or maybe fly over to New York?

New York would be an excellent end to your trip and if you go there then you will have few hours less on the plane home than from California

Both Dh and I would both say SAN FRANCISCO it is wonderful vibrant city, we have just returned from our second visit there and are even more in love with it than after our firts visit :)

Claire ;)

Another vote for San Francisco here. My boss went on an educational trip to San Francisco and hawaii and loved it.

Seattle - America unspoilt by the "look at me!!!!!" atmosphere of Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

Thanks guy's

I should of said we have already been to New york, LA and Disney.

We have had a quick look at Alaska cruises but we're a little weiry, in October after the wedding will be our first cruise to the carribean and we may not like it. Is it worth the trip?

Keep them coming.

For something totally different, how about Jackson Hole, Wyoming? I have never been there but my cousin is getting married in November and they are going there and it sounds amazing -- they are staying at a Ranch and Spa, they are going to take a sleigh ride, see one of the national parks (I can't remember which one though). Google it and you will be amazed by what you come up with!

Jackson Hole is a lovely area very scenic and relaxing. The National Park could be the Grand Tetons or Yellowstone both are close by.

what about coming home early :rotfl2: only joking

Do you need to ask , you are in the USA ,
:cheer2: WALT DISNEY WORLD :cheer2:

A friend of mine drove from SAN FRANCISCO to Alaska ,
when are you going
because skiing in the states is meant to be great

My vote would go to either San Francisco or New York.

I'd have a road trip around California, Lake Tahoe, San Fran, Carmel etc and the national parks, you'd cover quite a bit in 5 or 6 days

Janice - Most def not WDW!! now this was a hard decision to make but!!

The story goes-

We are getting married at Disney in September and spend 4 weeks in Disney and 1 on a cruise.
We are then going back to Disney in Jan for 2 weeks (spur of the moment booking! it was a great offer we couldn't turn down. LOL)
So our official honeymoon (not including the 4 weeks after the wedding) is our trip next May, so no ski-ing in May. Plus we want to start visiting other locations other than Disney! LOL . We've been about 10 times in the last 4 years, bought DVC etc. So one year out may kill us, but we'll have to live with it!

Looks like it may be San Fran from the advice on here then?
Had a look at Jackson hole and I must say it looks great. I will keep this in mind for our ski trip.

Carolfoy - Interesting, I just spoke to the other half and he quite likes that idea. I wouldn't of thought he'd go for something like that to be honest. Any idea where I could find info on a trip like that? Have you done it?

Thanks

We have now done 2 West Coast road trips the first was down Route 1 from SF to LA stopping in Carmel, Pismo Bech and Santa Barbara. The second which we have just got back from was from SF through Lake tahoe, Yosemite, Barstow, Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. Both were done over three weeks but if you limit the distance travelled quite a few places could be seen in 5-6 days and I would go for either SF to Carmel and the Monterrey Peninsula or SF to Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. Mind you we can easily spend 5 days in SF and the surrounding areas which include Muir Woods, Napa/Sonoma Vally and the Marin Headlands.
