I just booked our next Disney trip... When we there in Oct. we used the DDP and I had a few "good" places booked but it was a short trip since we were going on the DCL..

Our next trip is for nine days...

I want to try some diff. places to eat. and want to know reccommendations of where to eat on the DDP ..thanks....

Hi Kritter,
One of the best places that my husband and I enjoyed was the California Grill. It was so amazing.... its the perfect view of the castle and if you go there at the right time at night, u can watch the fireworks from the restaurant. Its kids friendly too! :) Its romanitc but yet at the same time its Disney family friendly... The food is amazing and the wait staff is second to none.
California grill is not a "themed" restaurant; there are a ton of them around and one of our favorites were the Sci Fi in MGM... Great Shakes and Burgers...
Hope this helped... :bounce:

Sounds great. Never eaten at the CG had drinks there that is all..SO it is ok to bring the kids there????!!!!Thanks!!!

Okay definately Park Fare for breakfast and Crystal Palace, two of the best meals on property for breakfast. If you don't want character then definately Kona Cafe or Grand Flordian Cafe.

If your fam enjoys family style service, try LibertyTreeTavern in the MK, and Garden Grill in Epcot. They are character meals, and the food is brought to the table, instead of having to go to the buffet line for food. It is still all you care to eat, they will bring you seconds of whatever you like. If you are early lunch eaters, or have the patience to wait for the right table, at Pinnochio's in MK you can sit by the window and watch the Small World boats go by :goodvibes

Never Eaten at Garden Grill where in Epcot is it????

Hi
We just got back and we had a great dinner at the Coral Reef in Epcot. I didn't have any kids with me, but I'm planning on taking my DGD in August. It's really fun for the kids to watch the fish. The Mahi Mahi was delicious and my girlfriend had the prime rib and said it was really good. The chocolate wave was the best dessert I had on the trip. Also, we love 'Ohana in the Polynesian. I'm veggie, but eat shrimp, and the food was really good. We all loved the potatoes and the dessert was bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. Served on the side was caramel sauce with little slices of banana in it. It was so much food that I gained 4 1/2 lbs. We were on the DDP. Have fun planning!!! ( and eating)!!!

WOw both of them sound great Ohana I have never eaten there either did you do lunch or dinner.....????

I Love the Crystal Palace for lunch or dinner. We did it twice each of our last two trips. :thumbsup2 My favorite breakfast was at Cape May :) it was so good and has characters. 1900 Park Fare is also a favorite for breakfast or dinner. We also love Le Cellier in Canada at EPCOT.

Hi
We had dinner at 'Ohana and the Coral Reef. Both were excellent. In August, I took my DGD who is now 4 to 1900 Park Fare for the Cinderella dinner. We went to BBB in DTD and she got her princess makeover. She wore her Cinderella dress that I bought from home. Then we went to 1900 Park Fare and met Prince Charming, Cinderella, Fairy Godmother and the mice. She had a great time. Also, we went to Chef Mickeys and Crystal Palace for breakfast. They were both a lot of fun. Have fun with your planning!! :)

Thanks sounds like OHna's is a must!!!!

We loved Spoodles at the Boardwalk and O'hana at the Polynesian. I know others love LeCellier, but I thought it was just OK. The food was really good, but the service was only fair. For dinner buffets, we liked Crystal Palace, but not Chef Mickey's.

If we can talk CS for a second, Wolfgang Puck Express (in DTD) is fantastic.

Oh thanks will have to try that one out...

just readin the thread cuz i am picking out my own meals for january 07 trip,
and have to chime in that the breakfast (family style) at poly with characters was one of my favs of the last trip. try to go when not too busy,
and get a nice table by window. good views. Lilo and stich were a huge hit too, and had the mouse himself too.
but then again, i did not have a bad meal all week.
i could tell you what was great about every single meal we had.

and by the way thanks for the sci fi and coral gardens suggestion.
gonna dump the canada steak and go to the fish, (better for you anyway)
the wife and i reason, that we can probably make a steak as good as they can and we definitely dont have a huge fishtank at home to look at.
and the scifi should be fun too. sometimes you just want a burger.
sorry i broke into your thread. i will leave you alone now.
