This will be our first time at WDW on NYE. We will be staying at the Swan and plan on eating somewhere in Epcot. We love LeCellier and may make PS for there but we are also wondering if we should try something new. Maybe in France? Can anyone recommend a suggestion for NYE dining? Also will there be a different menu with higher prices on NYE? Thank you for any info!

I was in MGM last NYE so I can't recommend a place in Epcot. We did have a reservation and thank God we did or we may not have been eating. Also, parks close early so be sure you are in Epcot before they close. Also, make PS for NYD if you want anything other than counter service or you won't get it. It is a madhouse.

Muffy, if you can book a PS in advance, that is wonderful. However, if you can’t, try not to fret too much. My family and guests did not have an advance PS reservation last NYE (none of us could decide ahead of time what we wanted to do that day). We entered Epcot in the late morning on NYE and I walked up to a CM in one of the gift shops. I asked her how I should go about making a PS reservation for later on that day. She picked up her telephone, dialed a number, and then handed me the phone. Since my sister had suddenly decided that we should dine at
L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante in Italy, I asked the person on the phone what was available at that restaurant for later on that day. I was given a choice of seating times and I selected one (I should note that there were seven in my party and yet we had lots of seating times to choose from). Later on that day we showed up for our meal in Italy and had a wonderful time.

By the way, the menu was the same, as were the prices. Nothing was increased for the holiday.

If I were you I would post this on the restaurants board too. You'll probably get more feedback over there.:D

Robin, we also have PS at Teppanyaki for NYE. Wouldn't that be a hoot if they sat 2 DIS'ers at the same table! We also have PS for breakfast with the Storybook Princesses! Can't wait for our NYE in Epcot!

Muffy, you are within your 120 day PS time frame for Epcot restaurants, so if there is someplace you decide on and are counting on it, I would go ahead and call.

Thanks guys! I've got my CC out and I'm going to call and make that NYE PS at LeCellier! Now what time do we want to eat on NYE?! We are always starving around 5:00 but i think we should eat around 7:00 on NYE to drag out the excitment? Right?

I ate at Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch and Tony's Town Square for dinner this past NYE, and neither of the PS's required a CC to hold it. :)

If you make a PS on NYE they will ask for a CC to charge if you don't show up. I think this is a new practice, at least for holidays. I think also you have to cancel 48 hours prior to the PS are you will be charged $10.00 per person. Maybe people were making PS and then not showing up.

You are correct, adisneynut, CC required and a 10.00 charge if a no show.

Is the credit card requirement just in Epcot? I made a reservation for Ohana's for NYE right at the 120 day mark and they didn't require a credit card?

Oh my! Were we on the same wavelength, or what?!?! Our PS for Teppanyaki is at 7:45, but there are 7 of us. Our PS for the new Storybook Princess breakfast is at 8:30 am! I'll make sure to wear a green ribbon :).

We made reservations for Ohana also for NYE at the 120 day mark and they DID put a deposit on the card.

Robin, we'll see you coming and going. We have a late breakfast, 10:10 and early dinner 6:00.

I made a PS for Christmas Day at Garden Grill and they required a credit card. During the same call, I also made a PS for New Year's Eve at Le Cellier which didn't require the cc.

And for information, the lunch at Garden Grill is 25.99 per person. She said it was more expensive because of the holiday, but didn't know if the food offered would be any different than other days.

Also, I asked if we could get in to the park if it was already filled to capacity since we had PS. She put me on hold to check with her supervisor and came back to say that we would be allowed in. I don't think this is correct though. I would probably get a different answer if I asked again.

She probably didn't ask for a CC for NYE because she already had the CC info from Xmas day PS. I would be careful and make sure you make all your PS's during these holidays because no shows are 10.00 per person.

Actually, I specifically asked about the cc charge for NYE. The CM said that it wasn't required, but did explain the $10 no show charge for Christmas. Again, if I asked someone else, I would probably get a different answer.

We are looking forward to Le Cellier for dinner since we've never eaten there. But, having to get to the park before noon and stay through midnight without a break will certainly make for a long day.

I called today for NYE and was told that they would automatically charge $10 per person effective immediately and that amount would be deducted from your check, and that if you didn't cancel it would be a service fee. I called again a few hrs. later and not a mention was made about a cc? I had made a PS for hoop dee doo seating a while ago so I hope they don't just charge my account without authorization!!

The same thing happened to me concerning NYE dining PS. I had to give my CC and then when i called back and made a lunch PS for NYE they did not ask for my CC. I am sure they will charge my CC 10.00 for a no show on both PS if not cancelled before. I will definatly make both PS! Even though they did not ask for my CC the second time, they did have the CC info from my first PS for NYE.
