Seeing all these bad reviews I'm thinking I should cancel our ADR ! I do not want to go for a bad meal. I'd rather do counter service lol.

So right now we have

Grand Floridian Cafe - Dinner
Crystal Palace - Dinner
Coral Reef - Late Lunch
Le Cellier - Late Lunch
Ohana's - Dinner
Kona - Dinner
Kona - Breakfast
Plaza - Lunch
Liberty Tree Tavern - Dinner
Hollywood and Vine - Dinner
Planet Hollywood - Lunch

We're on the DDP and have 9 credits. We are planning to pay for Kona Breakfast and Plaza Lunch on Christmas Day OOP.

So if we cancel 1900 Park Fare we could either use it for one of those or plan a different meal for that day. But I don't know what to add. We did Chef Mickey's last time and I don't want to go back. Same as Garden Grill. We didn't care for that one. Boma I would love to try but I have fussy kids who wouldn't eat anything there.

I'm thinking of the Concourse Steak House maybe ?

ETA : We are spending this day at the MK and have BBB appts at 2pm and I was hoping to do the Grand Floridian Photos that day too. So something convenient to MK would be best I'm thinking !

We had a wonderful meal at 1900. food was great and the character interaction was good even with teens and adults.

Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of my favorite places. At the Wilderness Lodge you could just take the boat launch to MK after lunch.

I would never ever cancel 1900! It is the one buffet we like. We do breakfast and IMO it is miles better than CP or Chef Mickeys. The food is great and we love the characters. I would give it a try and make up your own mind. Boma on the other hand is one buffet I will never try again. Two awful experiences mean it is a no no for us.

Even picky kids can find things at Boma since they do serve the standard "kid fare" of mac and cheese, chicken fingers, spaghetti and meatballs (I think was on the buffet when we were there last year), plus a few other standard items. Took DNiece 12 and Dnephew last year - also very picky - and they didn't leave the table hungry! We love Boma.

The other is Crystal Palace - which does have really good character interaction - and we do love the food too!:goodvibes

Have you been to 1900 Park Fare before? You might want to give it a try for yourselves. We have dined there twice and we have always enjoyed it. Everywhere has a bad day from time to time.

I personally wish we would have tried Boma's. As far as character meals go... we HATED dinner at 1900 Park Fare, but did enjoy Ohana's character breakfast w/ Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch. It was a nice, fun atmosphere with good food served family style at your table. (But I don't know that you're looking for a breakfast?)
