Me and my family are doing the land/sea vacation and decided to get to Disney World three days earlier to hit some of the other resort restaurants and other atractions we have not been to.

We have stayed at POFQ in the past and added the extra nights to this trip here also. So we are familliar with this resorts restaurants and theming. This time around we will be moved to the Polynesian for the land/sea portion of our vacation. I'm sure we'll get to most/all the restaurants here.

So not counting these two, which resort(s) would you recommend going to; both for the theme and to eat:confused:

Thank you for your advise:)

Hello MinnesotaMouseketeers! Welcome from a fellow Stillwater resident (don't you think we live in a great town?!)! First of all, I hope you enjoy your "sea" portion of your upcoming trip. We have done the 7 day on DCL, and it was a fantastic trip. Extending the "land" portion of your trip sounds like a grand idea!

Regarding trying some new resort restaurants at WDW, how about taking a trip over to AKL and trying Boma one evening? The african theming of the resort is fantastic, and you could build in some time to view the animals on the savanah before or after your meal. Also, the food at Boma fits in with the resort theme as there are lots of wonderful african inspired foods to try.

Another recommendation I have is Beaches and Cream at the BC. You could go for a full meal of burgers, fries and shakes here, or maybe just stop in for dessert (try the Kitchen Sink!). You could then spend a little time walking around the Boardwalk which makes for a great evening.

If you want to check out some of the resort menus, wdwig.com is a great resource.

Have a fantastic trip!

The Cape May Cafe Clambake... most definitely. Best value in WDW. Food is great, nice selection, great service, fantastic dessert bar, and the atmosphere is very light and airy... very comfortable

Also breakfast at 1900 Park Faire at the Grand Floridian. Best breakfast on site! The buffet is huge, the made to order omelettes are out of this world. The service is fantastic and the characters are wonderful... also there are characters not found in other venues!

Have a great time!

Some morning take the 'rail to Contemporary then hop a boat to Fort Wilderness for their breakfast buffet, by far the best meal value in WDW. For $9 per adult you get a very good selection of hearty breakfast fare and the two days we hit there last Nov. we didn't eat again until 4 pm. Bring an appetite!
