Where Should I Stay?

Okay so late last night I posted asking opinions btwn CBR or POFQ....so tonight I've decided to open this all up to include others...


We're two 25 year old cousins needing a nice room. Budget (including taxes) is $250 a night...we do have annual passes so discounts are possible...thoughts?

Sell me on your favorite resort..for July 13-20

CBR!!!! It is very brightly colored, beautiful tropical themeing, white sandy beaches with hammocks, friendly ducks, large rooms, fun atmosphere, main pool with a bar next to it, lake with boats to rent, good bus transportation, good food court, and quiet pools. Check out Safetymom's pictures and FAQ about CBR. She has lots of great information. Good luck with your decision!!

Boardwalk Inn is $199+tax I believe with an annual pass? Then there is WL and AKL standard rooms and if you have AAA you might still get a discount. Key Q: Where would you like to be closest? MK or Epcot/MGM or AK?

How is the Boardwalk?

Its deluxe. 385 sq. feet of room average. 10 minute walk to Epcot! Just request a balcony room if you want one. The chief negative that is written is that too many rooms do not have great views. Otherwise lots of stuff going on there. Have not stayed there myself (gotta come clean on that).

I think you need to think Boardwalk vs. a moderate. Maybe having a few extra $ in pocket for eating/drinking is worth the step over to moderate.

I think either CSR, POR or CBR are great choices. I enjoyed our stay at the Boardwalk but do think the food courts at the mods and values are really nice. And Boardwalk Inn has a severely limited choice of food. Having a balcony could be a real plus however. Walking to Epcot and MGM are both nice and the only way to go in my book, as those boats are so incredibly slow you can walk faster! Having a quiet pool that has a hot tub is also nice at BW. But again, I just love having as many as seven pools total at CBR and close to that many at POR and CSR. And the food courts are great for my family.

Boardwalk also shares buses to the other parks whereas CSR and CBR do not share buses. POR does at times but not always.

In the end, I myself enjoy the spread out mods and DVC's. I prefer SSR over BWV for instance and prefer CBR, CSR and POR over POFQ. I enjoy the grounds and the amenities of renting a bike or boat that you can do at those spread out resorts.

Have you checked into renting a studio either at OKW or SSR? They both are close to DTD, you would have a balcony and should be able come in under $250.

We totally enjoyed Port Orleans Riverside Mansion section!

The room was great, quick walk to the bus and an ok stroll to the pool.

I also loved the boat ride to DTD!!!

The food court is great, the pasta place rocks!!!!!

You can't go wrong with any choice- after all, they are all Disney!

I love CBR (I used to work there so I am partial to it). If you do stay there, I recommend a preferred room because it is closer to the food court and main pool. The tropical atmosphere and bright colors are awesome!

I also like POFQ because it is not so spread out and every building is close to the main building/bus stop. A more subdued resort.
