where should I stay? How many days?

ok, going to Paris and want to do Disney of course. I also want to do some Paris sights as well. Should I stay in the city and take the train to DLP? Is one day enough or do I need two? should I stay two nights in the city and two nights near DLP? I am on a budget. No Disney hotels for me. Just don't know if I should just stay in the city and commute out to the parks. help!

I would certainly say take 2 days for DLP if you can.

As for where to stay that really depends on how you feel about commuting?

Two days each for the city and DLP should give you time to explore both properly. Depending on what time of year you were thinking and the crowds and length of queues you might feel too frustrated with only one day in the parks.

My preference would be to stay in Paris whilst exploring the city and then move to either one of the partner hotels with a free shuttle bus or an apparthotel in Val d'Europe and just one train stop away from the park. You will want to see Dreams at night so it will be far easier to be nearby. I don't think you will find the nightly room rate any cheaper in the city so remaining there plus the inconvenience of commuting to Disneyland would not be an advantage I would have thought.

Staying off site is way cheaper - but factor in around €15 return for the train. Still a lot cheaper depending on which park tickets you go for, but 1 day is not enough for both parks unless its January!

There is a slim chance OP could get a good deal at an onsite hotel with tickets included? I don't know how much offsite hotels are but I've seen some good offers that include tickets.

ETA just looked at prices on the French sale.

Hotel Santa Fe in September is ¬190 for 1 night/2 days tickets or ¬280 for 2 nights/3 days tickets.

Compare that to a 2 day hopper or a 3 day hopper (¬139) and the hotel is a very good price for onsite I think.

I agree with PPs on staying 2 days at DLP and 2 days at Paris. Keep an eye open for flash sales. With EMH, you can get more done if stay onsite. Breakfast is provided. If you do EMH first then breakfast at 10 or 10:30 am, you can save the lunch money. Then have a big early dinner. Meals are expensive at DLP. Saving money from meals for more time and convenience In my opinion is better than staying offsite.
