Where should I purchase my AP?

I'm going to be buying Annual Passes for the first time, yay!

I just found out yesterday that I'll be arriving in Orlando on Thursday Oct 5. Should I order my APs online, or just walk up to the ticket counter, or go to DTD, or something else? I'm looking for the quickest easiest way, but I also realize I'm making this trip on short notice, so I don't know if there's time for the mails to go back and forth (or whether there's even any benefit in that, since I need to walk up to a window eventually anway).

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Well, if you have a local Disney store, you can purchase a voucher there and then when you get to the parks it gets converted to an actual pass. There is no financial advantage to this, however just may or may not help you budget.

I think the easiest option at this point is to just buy one at the parks when you get there. There are no discounts of any kind for purchasing an annual pass early. (online or otherwise)

I think one thing I wondered is if they send any perks if you buy the voucher in advance. Like, for example, last time I went to Disneyland I ordered our park hoppers over the phone in advance, and they arrived with a few perks: a coupon book, two coupons for lanyards/pins, and a couple luggage tags. I guess there's no similar perks for APs.

I just received our AP vouchers in the mail and there weren't any "extras" with them. We received ours about 10 days after I placed the order. Hope this helps!

I usually buy ours at AAA. They are not as discounted as they used to be, but they are still like $10 cheaper each. Every penny counts, right?

Have you thought about getting a DDE card since you are purchasing an AP? Or maybe you are on the dining plan so you aren't interested in that. I am buying an AP for December and purchasing it in advance before leaving home so I can also buy the DDE before we leave. Just a thought to consider.
