Where should I go for my 40th bday?

I had originally thought that we would do CRT for breakfast, spend the day in MK, rest, then go to LeCellier for dinner. Now I am thinking that maybe I should stay at the MK and do MVMCP that night (12/9). If I did that where in the MK should I eat dinner? We have the DDP and plan on using our TS for dinners only.

So what do you all think? Would it be a blast to go to MVMCP on my birthday and save LeCellier for another night?

We went to the P&PP last Aug for my 32 birthday:cool1: and it was awesome! Why not do the party and see if you can get a dinner ARD at CRT. It's a really nice place celebrate a birthday! If not CRT for dinner, I would go CP!

Have fun, happy birthday!

We went to the Christmas Party for my birthday last year... We ate at Liberty Tree Tavern... It was a really nice night....

However, I would not spend all day and night at the MK if you are planning to go to the party... That would make for a very long day... The party ends at 12:00 and there is plenty to do all night long... You could go for breakfast in the morning, hit a couple of rides, then go back to the resort to rest for a while...

Where to dine is hard to recommend because it really depends on what you like... We like LTT because it is a character meal served family-style... The food is very simple (salad, bread, mashed potatos, mac n cheese, turkey, beef, ham, green beans) and you get plenty of it...

You may like the Italian food at Tony's or the buffet offerings at Crystal Palace (I am not a fan of their dinner but many are).

One major suggestion is to eat well before the party begins at 7:00... There is so much to do and it would be a shame to be "wasting time" inside eating... We like to eat around 5:00... Between 6:00-7:00 is a great time to go on rides because the lines are usually shorter because people are leaving the park, lining up to watch the early fireworks, eating, or just coming in for the party...

By the way, you should also try to go to Le Cellier... It is very good.

:cake:
You should or have someone else order you a special cake to be served at your birthday dinner.... Any restaurant in the MK will be able to serve it... Call 407-827-2253...There are so many options for styles and flavors...They are sure to have the perfect one for your big day... You can also check out the Official Cake Thread to see some pics of the wonderful cakes they serve and for more helpful information.

My suggestion is from a adult point of view, because you did not mention if the kids will be with you......Narcoosees is awesome for a birthday celebration. Plan an ADR around Wishes...awesome. We went here on my birthday and was treated like a queen! Free desert and all. Afterwards....I would venture to DTD or Jellyrolls at the Epcot Resorts.
We went to Raglan and had an after dinner cocktail. sitting at the outdoor patio....watching all the people coming and going from PI.

Thanks Danielle. I do think it would be really special to do the MVMCP that night since it is a huge party. I think I will do LeCellier another night.

I was just wondering what anyone thought of 1900 Park Fare for my bday dinner. Then we could hop the monorail to MK for MVMCP. Any thoughts?

There are tons of places in the MK area... 1900 Park Fare is very nice...

You also might want to consider Artist Point at the Wilderness Lodge... You can take a quick boat ride over to the MK after your dinner... The place is very adult and serves an excellent meal... Just an idea... It is avery special place.

For my 40th, I'd also leave the theme park and eat in one of the better restaurants in one of the resorts. By that time, the new "Wave" restaurant should be open at the Contemporary. Maybe you can try that!

I should have mentioned earlier that it will be me, DH, DS7 and DD5. I guess that makes a difference. I haven't heard of the Wave coming to the CR. Any idea what it is supposed to be like? Thanks everyone.

Any chance you can do the party another night during your stay? We went to Narcoossee's on our arrival night; Wow. My nephew was celebrating his 6th bday on this trip, they greeted him with a birthday button. When were seated and handed our menus we were stunned, at the top of the menu the had printed "Happy 6th Birthday Zeke". I had his bday noted in our general record, but never made any requests. He was beside himself with joy and awe, I told him it was Disney magic; what a way to start his first trip to Disney.

Your 40th is really special and deserves to be truly celebrated. The food and service at Narcoossee's were excellent. My nephew was very comfortable there and we were able to see both the electric water parade and Wishes right outside.

If you do go, take the boat from MK to the Grand Flordian. Its a lovely ride and it let's you off right at Narcoossee's.
