I am most likely traveling alone my next trip to WDW. Well not alone exactlyi will have a 4 y/o and a 2.5 y/o. It can be very difficult to eat in FF places with them if i dont have another adult with me. I am thinkg alos that buffets arent such a great idea for pretty much the same reason. I guess i will ahve to do more sit down type meals. I will have a carso going from resort to resort shouldnt be a problem. I am still contemplating 1900 park fair for a dinner since we dont really eat too much breakfast and i know my 2 y/o would love to see "cinerelra" as she calls Cinderella.

I am thinking to do LTT and Garden grill cause i know they will like it.Possibly 50"s PT. Any other suggestions?

Last time we went was the first time with our 1 and 3 year old so I can only imagine the task of two alone.

First realize 1900 Park Fare is a buffet dinner, but it is a great place to typically meet Cinderella, Prince Charming and a few mice too. My three year old daughter became all "grown-up" and serious when Cinderella came to meet her.:hyper: princess:
Above average food for a character meal and not as crazy as a lot of buffet places...but still a little upbeat.

Don't be fooled by some dining places...they do have special kid menus too.

CORAL REEF RESTAURANT
(Epcot-Future World, Living Seas)
Seafood(ok) Watch fish and eat fish with a glass wall allowing guest to observe into a 5.7 million gallon salt-water aquarium with over 8,000 underwater inhabitants. They provide observation ID charts of the fish and crayolas and fish drawing to color.

CHEF de FRANCE
(Epcot-World Showcase)
Excellent French cusine. Crayolas and coloring sheet

THE GARDEN GRILL
(Epcot-Future World)
Family Style meal of traditional American Style food. Dining area completes a full rotation every 35 minutes viewing a rainforest, desert, and a prairie complete with Buffalo.

50's PRIME TIME CAFE
(Disney Studios)
Servers are either your bossy brother or auntie family members. Traditional American foods served within a classic 1950's decor. Various tables available, not all have a kitchen with TV configuration. If you want a particular table configuration, be sure to ask for it. Yep, they can color here too.

You might also want to consider a LUNCH at:
THE HOLLYWOOD BROWN DERBY
(Disney Studios)

I know that 1900 park fair is buffet, thats why i am only considering it. I have traveled with them alonebefore but they wwere a lot younger. It is easier to do sit down non buffets. They only problem is they LOVE characters and most of those type meals are buffets, we dont really eat breakfast so i cant see doing the character breakfasts.

Thanks for the suggestions. Thye would love the coral reef especially the little one since every fish she sees is "nemo".

Check www.allearsnet.com for their menus. You may want to try some of the places that are buffet but family style, which means they bring the food to your table and you don't have to get up in line like a traditional buffet. I definately would not try a traditional buffet with the two kids alone.

For example: Liberty tree tavern (character meal). The kid's would love that. Also, Ohana's (which from the reviews is another great place) They have coconut races for the kids. We're trying this one.

I would suggest reading through the menu's and that would give you some great ideas. Then you can always ask for suggestions after you have narrowed down your choices some. I would definately try LTT for the characters. Good luck choosing.

I'll have my 2 small kids alone on my next trip as well. My 4 yr old is no problem but the little one is pretty wild sometimes. He will be 2 yrs 8 months on our Dec trip. So I think Im sticking to very noisy character meals so he will blend right in :D

How do you plan on getting to the buffet with the 2 of them? Are you going to have them walk up each time?

The Liberty Tree and Garden Grill have the family style buffet. The O'hana isn't a character dinner , but they do have the kids games during dinner. I would imagine the regular buffets being hard with 2 small children. I give you credit for going to WDW with the kids alone! Have fun!:bounce:
