Had to share my vacation plan, although I may be nuts, I couldn't decide where to stay this year, and then they offered the premium pass, and I decided to go twice so this is the plan, our first visit 10 nights broken down as 2 nights okw, 2 nights blt, 2 nights bc and 4 nights at ssr. For our summer visit 14 nights- 4 nights bwv, 7 nights Akl (snagged club level somehow) and 3 nights at vwl. I'm really excited and we usually resort hop at least 2 times during a vacation but this takes it to a whole new level. Had to share with people who get it.:thumbsup2

OOOO...I love split stays but only if I can stay at least 4 nights in one resort. I wouldn't feel settled or have enough time to enjoy the resort with the amount of hopping you are doing ( and we spend a lot of time at the resorts). Glad you are excited, but I wouldn't do it

I love split stays, they make the trip feel like 2 - but two is my max. I used to jump between 3 for some time but was burnt on more than that the year the kids and I caught the flu at the start of the trip. We became more miserable with each change.

Enjoy! May the hops go smoothly for you!

Glad you are excited about it. We enjoy split stays but I have instituted a 3 night minimum for all stays during a split stay now. Just makes it so much easier. Our only exception are off-site stays that are usually just one night so we jsut pack a small overnight bag for that.

Thanks for your positive replies. We are getting quite good at hopping, but it all starts with good packing, three/four bags carry on size all labelled with each resort, at each resort we open corresponding bag, others remain unopened, on change day all bags go to the car, visit a park, check in to a new resort open correct bag and start all over again!!

I admit that this did take work at first, now the family expect o move every few days, I just love all the resorts and dvc for allowing this madness.

We do the same thing with our bags!!! It makes you feel as though you have unpacked and as things get used, they go into the suitcase. The night before we change, there really isn't much to pack back up...I even buy different sets of toothbrushes, etc. for the two resorts--just so we don't have to worry!!

All I can say is good for you...we've done 3 in 7 days but most often spit between BWV and BLT. Have fun!!!!

I think your plan would be a real nightmare for my family. We unpack and settle in. I hate living out of a suitcase for any reason. Plus, if you have refrigerated food items, you have to pack them all up and move them as well. Plus that homeless feeling when you have to move out by 11AM from one resort and find your next resort won't be available until sometime after 4PM (maybe even 6PM).

Good luck. Hope it works out for you.

I think it's great too. It sounds like it works for your family rather well. I don't think that homeless thing is all that bad if you have a car and plan on being in a park or enjoying the pools.

Have a super time with all your mini vacations!

Seeing all of the resorts can be fun but we now limit our hopping to longer stays with a 8 night minimum per resort. Moving can be exhausting, more chances for room or maintenance issues, Front Desk problems, and a interrupted relaxing vacation. :goodvibes

In September I plant my body in a one bedroom Beach Club or BWV villa and stay put for 14 days. But on my other trips during the year, we'll do split stays in studios, never unpacking our duffles and wind up having quite the adventures! I do love the change of scenery!

WOW!!! We did a 9 night trip with 4 nights at VWL and 5 nights at BWV. Also did a 5 night trip with 2 nights at Contemporary (for DH's work seminar) and then 3 nights at SSR. We also did a 7 night trip with 4 nights at HHI and then 3 nights at OKW. All were great and we will do it again most definitely. But like a PP mentioned I prefer a 3 night minimum and I would only do split stays between 2 resorts. But, I am definitely intrigued and would love to read a trip report. It will be cool for you to try all the resorts. We have been DVC members since 2006 and still haven't tried them all...we're almost there. Good luck!
