Where not to stay between Dalton & Perry GA.??

Dsis and I will be heading to WDW in April. I have stayed in Dalton, Perry, Tifton and Cordele before. This time our tenative schedule has us stopping in Dalton for the night. We would like to get past Atlanta but not sure Dsis will have the energy after having worked 3rd shift the night before. Anyway if we can make it past Atlanta where sure we NOT stop. In December we stopped somewhere around Atlanta for coffee and it was and I forgot to make a note never to stop in that area again so I don't recall where it was. Not to offend anyone but where wouldn't you EVER stop in this area. Susan

how was perry? we're coming from an hour under cincinnati and i plan to stop in georgia, somewhere after atlanta. but i'm still not sure where. i never been to atlanta but my husband who has traveled more than i have, said we are definitely not stopping there. i think any big city is not a good place to stop at night, nothing against atlanta.

Perry was a good place to stop. It has been a couple of years but if I remember correctly there was 2 exits and we stayed at the 2nd exit. All I remember was it had a Applebee's really close to our hotel. Susan

I'm clueless about where not to stay, but if you're going during the time of the Master's, you may be out of luck anywhere near Atlanta.
