Hi All

My wife and I are celebrating our 11th anniversary this Friday at WDW and she would like to go out for a nice steak dinner. This is one thing I have never done in the world.

Where is your favorite place for steak and why?

Thanks Dave

I am not a red meat fan, but the rest of my family would say Le Cellier at the Canada pavilion at Epcot :earsboy:

The Yachtsman. Steak so tender you can cut it with a fork. Since it isn't in one of the parks, but in a resort, it is not as noisy as many of the restaurants. We took our kids when we went, and I noticed that they kind of segregated the tables with and without kids as much as possible.
I would think it would be easier to have a romantic dinner here than at most other restaurants.

Happy anniversary!

We had our anniverdary dinner at Yachtsman Steakhouse last year and enjoyed it so much we are going back again this year. It was an absolutely perfect meal. We have also eat at Le Cellier which was good, but IMO, it didnt measure up to YSH.

my prime rib was so tender even though it was RAW (only cause my husband said it was raw) I could cut it with my fork if I had wanted to and it melted in my mouth......the flavor was outstanding :cool1:

Another vote for the Yachtsman. We ate there last this past summer and the food and service were great. I really like the atmosphere. Oh and the bread they bring out with the roasted garlic is soooo good.

My wife and I have also been curious about a good steak at WDW. Does anyone have any input about Shula's?

The Yachtsman!!!

Everywhere we go, the steak just keeps getting better! We had great steak at Le Cellier, we had awesome steak at Narcoossee's, and we had the best steak we have ever put in our mouths at the Yachtsman. The entire dining experience was just fantastic. Can't wait to go again!

Glad to hear the wonderful review of Yachtsman..we are going there Friday night for the first time.

We have had steak at Le Cellier..not impressive at all.

My husband has had many wonderful steaks at Flying Fish..yep hard to believe..but it is fantastic.

we had a wonderful but very expensive meal at shulas. if you have ever been to mortons steak house it is very similair to that. everything is alacart. the steaks are huge but come with nothing you will pay for veggies potatoe salad or anything else you may want. if money is not an issue then i say go for it. we go to mortons often and we always go to shulas when we are in disney!

Le Cellier was good...we never miss eating there but my favorite steak dinner is at the Wyndham Palace in Lake Buena Vista at their Outback Restaurant.

You are talking my language!

There are some great suggestions listed here and you can get a great steak at any of them so let’s talk about the atmosphere of these restaurants.

Shula's is my personal favorite place to enjoy a steak at WDW. I love the fact that I get to play adult for a night and enjoy an elegant meal. The rich woodwork and the fantastic service really helps the overall meal experience. The steaks there are also worth every dime!

Le Cellier comes in second for me. A wonderful steak in a themed restaurant makes for an almost perfect meal. I might be a little partial here as my wife is Canadian but about the only negative that I can come up with is it can be a little loud in there at times but hey you are in the middle of a theme park so you have to expect a little noise.

The Yachtsman comes in next on my list of steaks at Disney. We normally stay at The Boardwalk or The Beach Club so the Yachtsman makes for an easy meal to get to. Like all the other steaks at the nicer places at WDW this is also a very good meal. The atmosphere is a little more tired and things seem a little rushed at times but nothing that would stop me from going back.

On our upcoming trip we only have Le Cellier PS for our steak night but we always keep a day or two open for spur of the moment meals. It does seem that most of those nights finds me enjoying a juicy steak somewhere.

I like the steak at Yachtsman's and at Le Cellier. If *I* had to make a choice between the two of them, I would go for Le Cellier because they have the really yummy cheese soup that goes so well with the steak.

But YS is great- elegant, quiet, great steak.

I love the steak at Flying Fish. It is a beautiful piece of beef that is perfectly charred on the outside and the juices are sealed in the steak. Delicious!

Artist Point...You have the choice of a great filet mignon or (my personal favorite) the buffalo steak (sometimes it's a sirloin sometimes a strip)! If you've never had buffalo you've GOT to try it. It tastes like beef but is very tender (never cooked over med rare) and has virtually no waste (very lean). Yummm.

For a traditional steak I'd choose the Charred Strip at Flying Fish.

For the best beef and largest selection of cuts day in, day out on property, and price is no issue, it would have to be Shula's.
