Where is videotaping not allowed at WDW?

I'm trying to remember, I think WWTBAMPI didn't allow videotaping. We did some videotaping on a lot of the rides, all the other shows. Some shows will allow a video camera as long as you aren't using a light.....and they don't allow flash photography because it can cause problems for the cast of the show etc.

Universe of Energy and Carrousel of Progress are 2 that come to mind.

Basicly, anything that shows a film as well. It's actually a lot of attractions - though on few is it strenuously enforced. One ride where I have actually been on that they have stopped it because of videotaping is Star Tours. They watch that one VERY closely.

I know that a lot of rides say no flash photography. Haunted Mansion come to mind because they tell you it might scare off the spooks. I guess that includes videotaping too.

Pretty much ALL indoor rides don't allow flash-photography (because it defeats many of the effects that rely on the dark). That's different from a total ban, which is what Star Tours is. I really have been on it before and had them stop the ride because someone wouldn't stop videotaping (after being warned over the intercom).

I was warned to stop videotaping on Pirates of the Caribbean. I was using the Sony nightshot technology, which I think uses some sort of non-visible beam. It works great, but perhaps it interferes with some of the ride technology? It isn't like it changes it in any way for the other guests, so I am not sure, but it was sort of odd to hear the "voice of God" come over the intercom during the ride. I felt a little embarrassed but I honestly didn't think I was doing anything wrong until then.

Never had any problems videotaping POTC, but I was rudely told to turn my camera off in the preshow for Alien Encounter (I hadn't seen or heard that I couldn't tape prior). I was politely asked to stop taping during Timekeeper.

I know there isn't any in Stitch, only because the idiot woman next to me tried to videotape it and they stopped her.

She was a member of the genius family that refused to walk all the way to the end of the row, no matter how many times they asked her to. She then whipped out the video camera, which they had to tell her to put away, and then took out her flash camera, and started taking pictures, which they had to yell at her AGAIN for. I didn't think it was humanly possible to break that many rules in a 3 minute period....
