I haven't been to HS in a few years, but were those steps to the stage always there?

Now that makes sense. I couldn't understand what they were building it for.

It looks like they are setting up the stage for Star Wars Weekend at the end of Hollywood Blvd in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater. When we were there on May the 4th, the stage had been set up and those white tents, which house the lighting and sound were there.
