hi,
I read about this great viewing location on the disneytouristblog, but is there anyone who could perhaps indicate it on a map for me? I can't seem to find where it is. And has anyone tried it before?

“The Hump” – Located between the two FastPass+ viewing locations (and a bit to the south), this spot isn’t very large. Since it’s a straight-on view, it’s incredibly popular. This location is great not just because it is the perfect distance from Cinderella Castle, but also because Main Street, USA slopes downward between here and Cinderella Castle, making this a bit of a “high point.”

You can see this in the photo, as the heads in front of me are clearly lower than me (and I’m not tall at all). Cast Members often prevent guests from lingering in this area before Happily Ever After (they’re usually directing traffic), so it can be pretty easy to snag this location 15 minutes before the fireworks, depending upon when you visit. This is also a pretty good location for the Cinderella Castle projection show.

Respectfully, not a particularly well-researched description from that source, in my humble opinion. There have not been FastPass+ viewing locations in the Hub for a while now.

But anyway, presumably they mean the area on Main Street between the Plaza Garden East and West (the once-used FP+ areas), which are the two gardens outlined in the pic attached. The East side is reserved for the Plaza Garden Dessert Party. A portion of the West side is currently used for the purchased Extra FP/reserved seating CL trial program, the rest is open to anyone.

I'd personally want to be anywhere in the Hub more than 15 mins early for HEA.

Hope that helps!

I don't think that post is very recent. If you scroll to the comments section at the bottom, there are comments dating back to at least January 2017 with at last another (previous) page, and the third paragraph from the top says "We originally posted this a few years ago prior to the completion of New Fantasyland and the new central plaza (hub)...."

I've never heard of "The Hump", but it must be from years ago and before the hub was redone because all the times I've been on main Street I've never sensed any spot was higher up

Never heard it called the "hump" before but the red circled area is the general area of the highest point of Main St. Slopes up to that point from Town Sq. and down toward the castle. Previously, before the rework of the plaza area, this was the mid-point of the Main St. bridge. While the sidewalks and the HUB were repaved Main St. elevations were not changed. It's not a huge slope in either direction, just a gradual change in elevation so that when you are walking north on Main St., you are looking "up" toward the Castle. Just a perspective thing.
