Where is the structure? Where are the employees?

Well, the shirt and shoes thing? It's the guests own fault if they decide to walk around without shoes on, and they get hurt. All an employee can do is ask to put the shoes on. The guest probably won't do it though.

The shirt thing? If they reach the platform of any ride, and they don't have a shirt, they will be turned away.

Honestly, I've asked multiple guests to put their shirts on, and all I get is "screw you, it's hot out" (or worse) so I don't ask them anymore. It's not worth getting my self-esteem lowered.

Tim, Tim, Tim. You can't let the guests win in that case. You tell them they need a shirt. If they say anything ala "F U", then you know you can get a lead and have them kicked out of the ride.
You can also royally embarrass the guest by reminding them that "this is a family park, children can hear you." And when done in a calm, non-aggressive tone it can really make them feel bad.

Try not to take anything guests say personally.

I've seen people from a certain unnamed country (it rhymes with Trance) let their little girls that I would consider a little too old walk around the Magic Kingdom with no shirts. you look away and chalk it up to different cultures.

now I'm learning they may have been Canadian women all along, who knew? :)

:rotfl2: Aren't you the funny one!

I wish. :)

I always assumed it was people on vacation. ;)

my thoughts too.. usually the tourist that figure, they are on vacation and left their manors and dignaty at home. They vacation at Disney, Universal, SeaWorld & Bush Gardens :rotfl: I live near Ft Myers Beach/Sanibel/Captiva area and they Vacation here too.. except here, they also drive 20 in a 45 mph zone :rotfl:

I hope no one takes offense at this, I am just making light of something and showing that this can happen anywhere, not just Universal.

trust me, every guy would notice. :thumbsup2

I was very happy that my DH got two thrills last year, one at Blizzard Beach where a young European woman decided she was going to tan topless at the wave pool, until her travel companion reminded her that she really should put it back on.

Secondly, during the Mardi Gras parade when one of the lovely ladies on stilts didn't realize that one side of her was hanging out for all to see. Even the poor guy behind us let a yell "did u see that?"

He got his thrill and I laughed histerically. :rotfl2:

Need I remind anyone of the Mayonaisse incident at the Frontier land resturaunt some 15 years ago? Think it was Pecos Bill something or other. Things happen...sometimes you cant help it.

oh please do share........ I wanna hear it......:surfweb:

I saw people wearing weird stuff or not wearing enough everywhere during our last trip. People are getting more and more trashy IMO and it has nothing to with a particular resort. :(

The spitting kid was annoying though. He needed to be dealt with, the little creep.

Oh sure....blame it on the cash cows; we come in peace.

KS it would be funny if you got that line for a tag. It certainly cracked me up.

Apparently I do pay much attn because I have never seen the shirtless people at Universal or at Disney :confused3

As for the spitting :scared: I guess we better stick to the sit down restaurants

This is my first day back after a 17 day Orlando trip that included 4 days onsite at Universal and 4 days onsite at Disney and 9 days offsite. Naturally I come back to a us vs. them thread! Needless to say, at all of the parks there were plenty of hot, exhausted children and parents trying to cram too much into their days. If you looked for it, there were problems everywhere to be seen in all of the parks. We did our best not to focus on the negative, but to focus on having a good time and staying as refreshed as possible during those incredibly hot days. Even when a fight broke out right in front of us, we didn't allow it to ruin our day. ( I won't say where but it was on a lazy river so you can eliminate universal as a possibility.)

My wife is a recovering Canadian. I need to tell her that she should resume this custom from her homeland. Around the house.

Where the spitting safely occurs in the kitchen?

that's what I don't get about this whole thread. if I would have seen a kid spitting into the condiment bar at Burger Digs (great dill pickle slices by the way), I wouldn't have gone off looking for a TM.

the disgusting attitudes and disregard for the rules by the guests have caused some of the CM's and TM's to become nonconfronting, and I don't blame them.

people act like their ticket into the parks allows them to act anyway they want, and they'll scream at GS if anyone tells them to behave.
