Is there actually a "reserved" section for people who have the package, or is it just that the package people are let in first, and thus able to take any seat they want?

One site I looked at said "There is a reserved section for those with the dinner package. The reserved section is front and center, behind any VIP seating. Within the reserved section, seating is on a first come, first serve basis, so if you want your choice of seats, you should arrive 30-45 minutes early." But another site said "Those with Dinner Packages are the first to be seated - those waiting in line will be given the very few seats that remain."

Thanks!

Both statements are true. You are let in first with the package; cast members direct you to the center section up front and fill those seats first so maybe that is why they say it is reserved seating.

Guests who enter with the CP Package voucher can sit anywhere in the seating area.

CP meal gets you a voucher that allows you into the line that will go into the theatre first....then it's sit where you want (with a few VIP sections roped off sometimes, believed to be for the family of the narrator or choir members).

We've done it both ways....standing in the stand by line, which won't go in until after the meal folks get in, and doing the meal. My preference is the meal. You do pay a little extra, but we always choose Biergarten.....good food, very small mark up, and for whatever reason it's always pretty easy to get reservations. One of those missed gems to my family.

It's generally the front 2 sections. They put a rope up so that they standbys cannot go down into the package section, they come into the theater from the other side.

Last time we did the package, we sat down in the front section and in my opinion the second section is better. In the front section you are looking up at the stage plus you get your ears blown off with the trumpets that come in on the side.
