Where is the closest Giordano's Pizza???

Hi all ~

I'm orignally from Chicago....so I'm just loving the fact there is a Giorgano's pizza in Florida! How are is the closest one from WDW? Might be a good option for dinner after we go to Universal Studios!

There is one next to the Corssroads shopping center. Just take a left on Apopka Vineland road instead of going straight into Crossroads, and it will be in a smallish strip shopping center on your right. I had them deliver to OKW once.. maybe that is an option. Oops forgot to tell you to check the touristy magazines for coupons!

There is also one on 192 West of I-4 in the Formosa Gardens shopping center. Not as close as Crossroads but not all that far either.

We had a horrible experience last year at the one near Crossroads. Sat for 1/2 hour without anyone even taking a drink order. This was despite asking the hostess several times to find someone.

Finally my husband went over to talk to the manager who created a scene and told us to get the F out of there.

They called the police even though the manager was the one who was causing the commotion!

Some guy at a timeshare booth right outside said not to go there as they have alot of problems with service.

We had no trouble there either but be warned that if you go at a busy time it is VERY loud in there.

It depends where in the world you are. The one on Apopka-Vineland is about 5 mins. from DTD. The one on US192 is about 10 mins from AKL via Sherberth Road. Either one is about 25 mins from GF. YMMV.

We have been to Giordanos twice. The first time the pizza was so so. Maybe it is because in Mass. we have pizza places everywhere and there are lots of choices. Everyone raved about it on this board so we decdided to give it a second try. We ordered the pizza to go and they said 30 min. WE went and killed time at one of the stores in the plaza and when we got back after 20 min they had given our pizza to the delivery driver. Keep in mind it is paid for in advance. The manager was very nice however and after waiting another 15 min we got our pizza he gave us an antipasto for our trouble but to tell you the truth it was undercooked and not all that great.
