I just pre-purchased Photo Pass + so the kids and I are planning on taking full advantage of all the rides that take your photos on it :cool1: They like to do silly poses so they like to know where the camera is. I cannot for the life of me remember where the camera is on SM...can someone please help? Thanks!

I think it might be right before you get to the tunnel of red light at the end of the ride. I always close my eyes during both parts. :I

Edit: Nevermind. It's at the beginning of the ride.

When you get launched in that red tunnel at the very beginning of the ride (your 'blastoff'), at the very end when you turn out of the tunnel and begin the fast part of the ride is where the camera is. The side it's on depends on which side you go on in the queue, but that's where it is.

Just back - it is at the beginning of the ride. You will go through a BLUE tunnel and then round a corner and start the ascent. The camera is right when you round the corner and start going up.

Have fun!

Make sure you are wearing a "proper" face. I look incredibly stupid in the picture my daughter and I were in :) .

It is by far the worst place for a camera ever. Everyone always looks bored because the ride hasnt really started yet.

Totally agree with you & Buzz. Something about the location makes it difficult to get a decent photo. At least they have an onride photo now.

Oops. The light is blue. Not red. The red is at the end, I remember, to signify some change in the frequency of the light based on the speed you are 'traveling' at in space.

Once you know where the camera is, you can get some good faces. I always hate the ones in the middle or end of a drop because I look totally silly;) This past trip, my son somehow managed to get his shoes off and put them on his hands before the picture. He took a picture of the picture on his cell phone. I wish I had been there to buy that one. He and his friend did something different every time they rode it. This is DS and his cousins last year when I was there to buy it. It took them 3 tries before they were happy with it.

Thank you all :goodvibes

torinsmom- thanks for sharing your pic...love it :rotfl:

So I have a good idea where the camera is now, but if you are turning left- is the camera on the right (and on the left if you are turning right)? Or vice versa? I am taking this picture taking very seriously :lmao:
