Where is the best place to use quick and casual voucher?

I suggest that you check out the thread at the top of the board entitled: Everything You Wanted to Know About Connections Restaurant Vouchers.

There is TONS of great information up there and lots of recommendations about where to get your best values.

Good Luck! :)

We had the worst experiences with those quick and casual food vouchers. First of all no one wanted to be bothered taking them. Most of the counter services that took them had appetizers (they considered french fries as their appetizer) and they all gave me a hard time getting bottled water as my drink.........their desserts were mostly chocolate cake or carrot cake which both my kids hate.....so we gave most of the desserts away. And kid meals (which they give plenty for 2 kids to eat on one) are only 5 bucks the most, so it wasnt worth using one for the kids. My mission all week was to at least use all 14 vouchers that I bought to at least break even with the 11.25 I paid a peice for them..............and fought with dh each time b/c he cringed and hid everytime i whipped one out to pay with it! lol

scorpad99: were you using the Quick and casual or the kingdom lunch vouchers? unless something has changed the kingdom lunch vouchers are the ones that give an appetizer, the quick and casual give an entree, side , drink and dessert or combo and dessert. I guess you had rotten luck with the servers, maybe it was really busy, since most have said they had servers very willing to help. that would be annoying though if you planned on using them. I looked over the menus and are planning to use them at only places that it seems like i'd save more than a few cents. we are not big fans of counter food anyway so I am planning on using more of the kingdom lunch vouchers. Sorry they didn't help you though!

If you want to get a good value out of the Quick and Casual Vouchers, you should look at the menus on http://www.wdwig.com and then use the vouchers at the places that give you the best deal. Most kids meals are around $5, so the vouchers aren't the best for those. When I bought vouchers, I only bought for DH and I and then paid cash for the kids meals. As mentioned before, the Q&C give you an entree, side, dessert and drink. But NOT appetizers. I'm not sure that the Counter Service places even have appetizers.

We used them at the Pepper Market and got a great deal. With our $11.25 voucher we got the Ribeye Steak, Potato and vegetables ($17.95) + soda ($1.95) and cheesecake (around $4). We also used them at Beaches and Cream and got the Prime Rib sub ($10.99), Fries ($1.75), Drink (about $1.99), Fudge Mud slide sundae ($7.99).

I believe the better deals are at the resort places as opposed to using them in the parks.

So, if you do a little research first, you can get a good deal.

Maggie: mind if I ask you how big the sub is..that looked good to me but am trying to decide if it would be enough for a lighter meal for 2, maybe with an extra side added. don't want to over buy on vouchers since they will expire before we go back..Thanks

We used Q/C vouchers last week and really enjoyed the Pepper Market because of the selection

For your Drink you can even order a Smoothy $3.95 and even a Expresso Drink from the Coffee bar...I enjoyed the Ribeye Steak with grilled veggies (fresh eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash, onion and portabella mushrooms) and I asked and they even put a whole grilled portabella on top on of my Ribeye...YUM!

The staff was very friendly and I noticed a few convention people there also using the vouchers.

I got london broil one night with 2 side dishes, salad and dessert.
Another night I had loin of pork.

I think the cashier let me have the salad in place of the soda, since I had a refillable mug.

We just came back from WDW on 10/17 and I used about 10 of the Q & C vouchers during our trip. My husband and I both thought they were great. We weren't trying to get more for our money, just trying to at least get close to $11. A lot of the times, we did get more for our money. All of the CM's knew how to use them and we didn't have any problems. I think the food courts are a good place to use them. If you already have a mug, then you can get a bottle of water and if you don't want your dessert right away, you can just take it back to your room and have it later. I am definitely going to buy more for our next trip. I think I will buy a few each month and by the time our next vacation rolls around, we will have a lot of them and our lunches and dinners will already be paid for. :earsboy: :earsgirl:

DH and I shared the steak sub & fries (I drank the coke with the meal and he ordered an extra diet coke we paid cash for). Then DH, I and our 2 DDs shared the HUGE sundae and we had a little of the sundae left. The steak sub had a whole strip steak (or some kind) on a roll (long, french roll type - maybe 8 inches) with onions and maybe peppers (I can't remember exactly about the peppers). We both left very full. I am a lighter eater and he has a normal healthy appetite and we found it to be enough. Especially if you want a "light meal".

I plan to do the same thing. I don't expect to save a ton of money with the vouchers. I look at them as a way to prepay most of our meals.
