We will be at Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party on Thursday night, 12-20, and was just wondering where to go to see the parade the best. This is our first time to the party and haven't been to the parks in 10 years. I am beginning to get very worried that we won't know the ins and outs as far as doing things. Thanks for any information. Will be me, my dh, two ds (ages 14 and 2).

If you can wait to see the 10:45 parade it would be the least crowded. The parades start down near Splash Mountain and head up to Main Street. The best spot I have found is right at the corner across from the Liberty Tree Tavern. The parade turns there. On the Hall of Presidents side of the street there is a small stone wall about 3 feet high and 18 inches wide that is perfect to sit on and wait for the parade to start. Just behind you is Columbia Harbor House, so just before you sit down you can get your free hot chocolate and cookies and apple slices to enjoy while you wait. Some people will probably line up in front of you next to the rope, but if you are lucky, they may stay seated and you will be able to also, if not you can easily stand on the wall and see everything. The parade comes right at you so you have a wonderful view. We got our seats about 10:00-10:15. Not sure if it will be more crowded for your party. Have a wonderful time!

My family passed through from where Aladdin's Magic Carpet ride is into Frontier Land. We got there after the parade started, but were still only a person or two back from the rope. A very nice family was even nice enough to allow my nieces to come and stand in front of them by the rope. It was a great spot for viewing the parade.

I watched it from the section between Frontierland and Liberty Square by the water and I had a great view and it wasn't crowded at all.

I would also have to say somewhere between Frontierland and Liberty Square this is where we saw the parade on 12/5 and it was a great stop. We saw the first one ( I know everyone says see the second ,but it seemed we has more time to see and do other things.)

On 12/4 we walked into the park around 7pm and parked our butts outside of the VMK Central right on the curb. Besure to bring or purchasae some type of blanket. It snows right on top of you and you can see the parade perfectly.

Yes I know you will be waiting for an hour, but you can send someone to the noodle station in Tomorrowland for hot chocolate and cookies (they'll give you more than one at a time -- we asked for nine) Then there will be a show at the castle forecourt infront - send a few down there to watch the show but keep someone there to save the seats.

It really worked out great for us. CMs come down and have games for the kids so the time goes by pretty fast.

Just got back and saw the first parade Thursday night. I also vote for somewhere in Frontierland or Liberty Square so you're close to the beginning of the parade and can go do something else afterwards. We were in front of a popcorn cart parked in front of the big bell. Great, up close view and we sent my DH to get cookies and hot chocolate while we waited.

We watched from Frontierland where the parade first comes on-stage. We then walked over to Main St and caught the same parade again.

We watched it from Main Street...got there about 30 minutes early...sent husbands to get drinks and a snack...kids played with the main street characters, meet the "Mayor", meet REALLY nice folks around us, relaxed under the "snow"...KIDS LOVED IT DS4 and DD1!

Everyone is always trying to avoid the crowds...but it was SOOOO packed when we were there, it didn't matter! Where ever we were, there were crowds! had a great time, though

Keep in mind that it's a nighttime parade. Even with the extra pole lights that are added for the parade, it's a bit dark around the castle hub and at the train station circle.

Directly in front of LTT in front of the little white fencing. No one could stand behind us or in front of the kids. There was just enough room for the kids to sit in front of us and we could lean against the fencing.

We watched it twice at mvmcp. We saw the first one while eating dinner at pecos bills. There are tables outside. We watched the 2nd from liberty square area. This is my favorite parade. There were crowds at both. We were there on the 12th.
