We will be going to 9:00 am breakfast at Cindy's, (ee day) then spending the afternoon at Epcot and ending at MGM for dinner and Fantasmic! We may or may not poop out in midafternoon and need to go back to LBV hotel for a nap! Given all that, where would you park? Thanks! :)

If you're not going to MK really early for EE, then I'd say park at Epcot, monorail to MK, then back. Boat to MGM (or move car to MGM in the evening, that way your car's there after Fantasmic).

Thanks, Kimbergirl. We will probably park at Epcot as there will be two cars and possibly some shuffling of passengers. Will getting back to Epcot be difficult after Fantasmic?

You do not say when you are going, which may make a difference as during many seasons MGM closes after Epcot does and during other seasons before. If you are at MGM and Epcot is already closed, there may not be any way to get back to Epcot (although there is a bus back to the TTC where the MK lot is). If Epcot is still open when you leave MGM you can either take a bus to Epcot (leaves you off near the front entrance and parking lot), a boat that goes to Epcot resorts and then to the International Gateway Entrance of Epcot from which you can then walk through Epcot, or you can just walk from MGM to the Epcot International Gateway Entrance through the walkway that goes to and past BW (about 30 minute walk). The bus would likely be the quickest trip. If MGM closes after Epcot, you should drive to MGM. Frankly, I would probably park at Epcot in the morning but then drive to MGM when you go there.

I'm going to move this to our transportation board.

Drusba, thanks for outlining all of my options. We will be going in October when Fantasmic! is at 7:30 and Epcot closes at 9:00 with Illuminations. I don't know if more people will be lining up for a boat or bus to get back to Epcot to view Illuminations after Fantasmic! (Hmmm... should we try for that too? ) or if most will just try to depart MGM by bus or car. All I know is that this is our most ambitious day planned and I don't want to end it by waiting on a really long line for a bus or a boat. Sounds like your and Kimbergirl's suggestion to move our cars to MGM makes the most sense.
Thanks. :)

Can you use the hotel's transportation to get to parks? Does your hotel qualify for EE?

M. Eisner - we are staying offsite (so no EE) and although they provide some transportation, our group ranges in age from 1 to 71 so I don't want to rely on it.

The easiest may be to move your car. You only pay once per day (save your voucher). Moving your car from EPCOT to MGM probably won't be much longer than a bus (when you include up to a 20 minute wait).

I doubt you'd want to fight your way through the crowd at Epcot after leaving MGM, just to return to your car.

Park at Epcot in the AM. Monorail to/from MK, then move your car to MGM before dinner.

....and, the really good news for the rest of your group is that only one of you has to move the car (or two, so you can remember where it is!!!!)....everyone else can take the boat and meet you.....:bounce: :jester:
