Where is the Best Character Breakfast??

I want to take my DD, 3 years old, to a good character breakfast. Can anyone make some recommendations and also tell me how long in advance I should reserve it? Also, any other suggestions for 3 year old entertainment?

First off... Welcome to the DIS!!!!!

Our all-time favorite meal in WDW is the Crystal Palace character breakfast... great food, beautiful atmosphere and the best character interaction around.

Our favorite is 1900 Park Fare.

I second the vote for Crystal Palace - we did lunch with Pooh and Friends and it was awesome! I know I personally signed up at 60 days when I made a few other arrangements...you may be able to book this one earlier.

My favorite is Cinderella's Royal Table. It is so magical for little girls...and their parents! You must follow ALL advice from the board found in the "Dining" section to get a reservation for this. SO WORTH IT!!!! Plan to make reservation exactly 60 days out, and be sure to read up on the CRT posts on this site!!!

I think it depends on what characters your dd likes. We only did Chef Mickey's last trip (dd was 2.5). It was Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale.

Our dd loved it!! This year we are doing Cindarella's Royal Breakfast (very hard to get into, must make resv. exactly 60 days ahead at 7am).

My friends said the Crystal ?? at MK is very nice. It's got Winnie the Pooh & friends.

We do Chef Mickeys each time we are Disney and my 3 and 5 year olds love it! My vote is for there!

Barbara's right about making an early PS. A big advantage is you get into the park early, even if it's not an early entry day.

My wife and I prefer the Character Breakfast at the Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club. We find the beach atmosphere to be very relaxing. They have a vast selection and we find the breakfast food to be superior. The characters (Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale) are very interactive. We have dined at nearly all the character meals and feel as this one is by far the best breakfast. We also love taking the boat to Epcot or MGM after the meal.

Our favorite lunch/dinner would be Cyrstal Palace. The food here is some of the best at WDW and the Pooh Characters are a blast!

<throws both hands in the air> I vote for Crystal Palace too! Our ps was for 9:00 on the day of the EMH. However, as soon as we got into the park, we went to Guest Information to find out where Crystal Palace was and they got us in the right direction. As soon as we got there, we went to the podium to sign in and within 15 minutes, they had called our names! We got in EARLY! Our server was Margie and she was JUST amazing! She explained everything, told us everything was buffet (which we already knew), told us to go back as often as we wanted, told us if there were eggs that we wanted cooked a certain way besides the way they had them on the bar (which were scrambled and hard boiled), tell the chef and he would cook them as we wanted. She also told us how the characters would be coming through, that would could get autographs and take pictures.

I should mention tha there wasn't a child with us, and as we had never been to Disney World, it was a great character dining experience! We are planning on going back to WDW next year an Mom has already told me that she wants Crystal Palace again!

What characters are you interested in dining with? I wanted to see Mickey and hubby2b wanted Chip & Dale so we chose Chef Mickeys!
