where is the apple pie?????

i noticed on my last trip that almost every restaraunt that served apple pie had changed it to some other kind of apple cobbler, tart, whatever. anyone know where they still serve true apple pie? i LOVED it and told everyone i knew going to be sure and get it. i miss it so bad. any help appreciated.

According to the menu posted on allears WCC still does the Apple Caramel Pie. I had it several years ago and really liked it.

guess it's just easier (cost effective) for the restaurants to just "plop" some apple pie filling on a plate, cover it with crumbles or whatever, and call it a cobbler (instead of baking individual pies) - at least it seems that way - whenever i asked for apple something or other last year, it just seemed like it was a bowl of Comstock apple pie filling, covered with ice cream or crumb cake topping....

WCC has a deep dish apple pie type dish (with a crumb topping)...but not a true, traditional, American apple pie....however, it is DELICIOUS!

We noticed that in April as well. Those cute little apple pies from America were so good! But not anymore....just a few crumbs on top. They seem to be getting rid of all the treats we liked!

You are right......not one piece of Apple Pie but loads of apple cobbler or apple crisp......which I did top off with vanilla ice cream and I was still happy.......I guess we will have to make our own apple pies this fall......

I guess it's time for me to get my apples out of the freezer that I froze last fall for a pie...oh, to have the fairy godmother here to make my crust I guess I will ask Mrs. Pillsbury to help with that part of the pie I can smell it already

They have great apple pie at Mickey's Philharmagic (of course, you can only smell it!).

I miss the pies too!

I had the apple pie at WCC last year and the apples were so hard that I only ate a few bites.

I'll be on a new hunt in June.

A few years ago after watching Mickey's Philharmagic and smelling that wonderful apple pie, my DH just HAD to have some apple pie. We found a small apple pie at the Main Street Bakery and ordered it with vanilla ice cream. Perfect size for two and just delicious. Last year we went back to get it again and were told they didn't make it any more! Talk about a huge let down! DH was so disappointed. (So was I!) We went back this year and still no apple pie.
