Where is pop century???

Hi there i was wondering if anyone could clarify where Pop century is.
I have used google earth and found that it is right next to Epcot in fact walking distance if you go through the back way of Epcot which is near the UK on the world showcase.
It appears on google that it is on the other side of the lake from the board walk, again within walking distance.

Has anyone noticed how close it is to these or is google earth totally wrong??

It would appear that MGM is within walking distace to.

Hi there,

I am sure you can't walk from Pop to any of the theme parks - firstly it is quite a way away and secondly there are no (any?) sidewalks on which to walk.

It's on the opposite side of Buena Vista Drive to the Epcot resorts - definitely NOT walkable as you'd have to cross tha road which has abot 6 lanes!.

Hi There

Believe it or not it is actually closer to MGM than Epcot, on the bus it took 5 mins to get to MGM and about 12 mins to get to Epcot, but as everybody else has confirmed,unfortunatley you can not walk to either.

I tried looking for Pop Century on Google Earth and couldn't find it but wondered if it was still under construction when the photographs were taken.

Looking at the transportation map of WDW, Pop is situated on the Osceola Parkway is is definately not with in walking distance of any park
MGM is the nearest park.

The only resorts that are within walking distance of parks and where there are safe sidewalks are:

Beach/Yacht Club, Swan/Dolphin, Boardwalk - walk to Epcot and MGM

Contemporary - walk to MK

I don't think you can walk to MK from Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian or Grand Floridian (may be wrong though ).

No roads of sidewalks, so it's quite dangerous to try and walk anywhere where it's not clearly marked as a walkway
I'm sure there may be the odd alligator hanging round in the bush, as well as the odd snake or too - so best to use WDW transport or jump in your rental car if you have one

If you go to www.allearsnet.com you can get a lot of info on anything WDW! You can even ask a question and it will usually be answered in a matter of hours! They have menus posted as well!

Why go all the way over there when you get such great service and information here on the DIS

Well for starters you can check out pretty much every single menu from every place to eat in the World as well as get the prices so you can budget then secondly you can get TONS of pictures of everything!! I agree that DIS boards has pretty much what you need but I still like to go elsewhere sometimes.......
