Where is Ponderosa?

Dh and I wanted to take the kids to Ponderosa but I'm not sure how to get there from the Nickelodeon hotel. We had one in our city that closed down about twenty years ago so we thought it would be neat to go. Dh's first job was at one and my grandparents used to take me on Sunday for supper. I thought it would be a walk down memory lane to eat some jello squares again.

There is one on International Drive and one on thhe 192

I hope that you aren't disappointed about Pondersosa because its nothing like it was back in the jello square days! Now its pretty much just a big buffet. I miss the old days when you walked down the line and watched them cook steaks on those big grills.

The problem with Ponderosa is the quality varies depending on which restaurant you go to.

We went to the one on the 192 in August, and it was horrible - not clean at all.

The best one by a mile is at South I-drive.

at your hotel - turn right on International Drive 536 (not ID south) - go pass the Marriott WOrld center - at the traffic light go straight - it is in the little mall on your right.

Another landmark for this is the Lake Buena Vist Suites and Caribe Royale (big pinkish hotel) - Ponderosa is directly across the street.
