Where is 'Official Word' about free dining?

OK, don't laugh. My husband just asked me where I found out about Thursday being "the day" to book our trip w/ the Free dining. I said here and other boards such as these.... He was like, Yeah, anyway, how do you know it is Thursday that is 'the day'??? Is there anything official that I am not seeing on the Disney World website? Was there anything regarding it going public in any correspondence to the Visa Cardholders? A newspaper ad? Come on, help me out, people.... Gotta sell this trip to my husb!!!

It will not show up "officially" until Thursday on the DisneyWorld website.

I would tell your husband to lighten up! Tell him we usually are more in the know that Disney CM's, and it is official!

You can look on Mousesavers.com, allearsnet.com if you must. However, since Visa holders can/already have booked this promo, there is no doubt it will be offered to the general public this week. Thursday's the day!

The e-mail from Chase/Disney/Visa did specify Thursday as the day for the general public to start reserving free dining.

If your Dh is like my DH, he will soon use the phrase all our eye rolling significant others use- "Dis Friends". Start him early by telling him- "I have it on good authority that Thursday is the day, because my Dis Friends are never wrong!"

Once you get above 2000 posts a miraculous thing will happen with your DH. You will call him at work (like I did mine last Friday) and he will simply respond to the news about free dining- "Oh cool!" and will not question further.

Thank You you just made my day. My DH was the same way... Don't count your chickens before they hatch... Kinda guy you know. I was all excited and ready to book our plane tickets when he stopped me and said wait until it comes out you never know! Little does he know we're going either way!
