After reading about it here, I desperately wanted to try one of these shaved ices. On our last day there (one of the only that was warm enough to wear short sleeves), we were standing in line waiting for Belle to come out for a meet/greet in France, and I told my husband I was going to run over to Japan to get a shaved ice. I searched everywhere and could not find it. I asked one of the CMs there, a girl taking reservations at one of the restaurants and she had never heard of it. I thought that I must've read it wrong and it was located in China, and gave up. But now I read that it is in Japan. So my question is --- Where??? I walked all over that area, I thought. I really don't want to miss it next time.

It is actually on the World Showcase Lagoon Promenade on your right hand side when walking from Japan to America.

It's sort of hidden, but it's there! It's sort of in a corner, just off the WS promenade. There is a little stand with a couple benches by it. It's away from the majority of the Japan pavilion shops/restaurants.

Thanks everyone, it sounds like I just didn't walk far enough along the promenade. I was just looking in the main Japan area. Oh well, at least I will know where it is now! I'll have 2 on this next trip to make up for it. :thumbsup2

The little stand is on the promanade, right beside the Japanese pagoda and right before the American pavillion sort of back out of the way. There is a sign on the promanade announcing what is in the little stand.

It is kind of easy to miss, especially if there isn't a line. The ladies that usually work in the cart are short, and you may not notice that anybody is in there working. Love Honeydew Mellon Kaki Gori!

I had wanted to try one for years but somehow always managed to walk by without seeing it. On our last trip, I found the stand. But we were only about an hour away from our ADR at LeCellier. So what to do? I bought it anyway and share it with 2 other adults and 6 children - yep, we swapped the spoon back and forth. It was wonderful - I had the rainbow. One of the kids (my cousin's dd) had been complaining for days with a sore throat - yep, it was strep. We were so lucky we didn't all have it. But it would have been totally worth it. Only my dh and my cousin's dh didn't share in it with us.
