Wishes happens near the castle right? The parade goes by the castle as well. Would this be the best spot? I imagine this will be where everyone else will be as well?

in my humble opinion :), I think main street and little past Casey's toward the train station is the ideal spot for Wishes. Too close and you miss some of the lower fireworks. Casey's has been a great spot for us to view wishes. We have staked out a place at the balcony of the train station, but the lights at the station stay on and I feel it takes away from Wishes. However, that is the absolute perfect spot for Spectromagic. You just have to stake out your place 2-3 hours before the parade.

2-3 hours??? :earseek:
I've heard of waiting but gosh!
Is it just that spot we'd have to stake out 2-3 hours before? I think I can settle for the next good spot if that's the case :)

I said the same thing before our first trip to WDW.... you wait HOW LONG to watch the parade? I think it's worth it (if you're into the parades). Plus, one of us will hold the spot while another goes to the confectionery or ice cream parlor. Passes the time pretty quickly.

What about an hour or 30 minutes before. I don't have to be all up front.. just wanted to make sure there aren't trees in my way :)

We tried the train station last year but abandoned our spot when we realized that we couldn't hear the music for Spectro very well. I think it might be a good spot if you can are right along the railing but if you are under the roof, the noise from everyone else up there with you is amplified. We went down and stood in the area around the flagpole which was an excellent spot to see both. One night, we tried sitting in our "usual" spot by the Castle but like msmouse said, it was too close to really experience all the effects of Wishes.
We go during early June and we always stake out our spot for Spectro and Wishes at least two hours before...

I enjoy watching Spectro from the curb on Main Street about half way down, as close to the hub as I can. When it's over, I quickly walk closer to the hub (unless I'm close enough already) and stand in a spot in the hub for Wishes.

I never have saved a spot for any more then 1 hour. I didn't see a need for waiting any longer. The two times I saw it were August and October.

We have never staked out a spot and have done just fine! Last time was in the circle at the beginning of Main Street. I don't feel you have to be right on the curb to see well. And Wishes, you can stop almost anywhere and see it. We like the bridge to Tomorrowland and Main Street. We literally just stop where we are and look. (Note: we do NOT go in front of anyone who's already waiting.)

When we went recently, we staked out a spot at about the 2 o'clock position on the outside curb at the hub (if you treat the castle as 12 o'clock). You get a nice long look at the floats because of the circular path they take around the hub. We moved onto the street for Wishes and you get a good view of tinkerbell from there.

Hubby and I plopped down for SM right in front of the main entrance! We moved up to the "hub" for Wishes, We kinda wished we were closer for the fireworks, but the fact that we hightailed it outta there and were FIRST in line for our bus back to POFQ made up for it! :-)

2-3 hours is what we plan if we want to be on the rail of the balcony at train station. That is not necessary I don't think for any other spot. We go to Disney often, so the wait was worth it for us. In fact, we enjoy sitting there people watching! I think one hour before the parade is good for curbside viewing on main street.

Does anyone know the times for spectromagic in September 09-15? and are they still having the parade?(spectromagic) :confused3
