Hi Everyone,

I'm new to this forum and find these post very helpful. Thank you! We are planning a trip to WDW in September. My 3 (will be 4 at travel time) year old is OBSESSED with Darby from the Tigger and Pooh show. I was looking into a lunch or dinner at the Crystal Palace, but Darby is not one of the characters mentioned. I know my son would be asking constantly "Where's Darby???" if we go to this. Does she even exist as a character to meet?

Thanks in advance.

Last Time i was there, she meets next to pooh's playful spot opposite the many adventures of winnie the pooh at MK

Yes, DS3 is already asking if Darby will be there when we have breakfast with Pooh. :sad1:

I don't understand why they haven't put Darby and Manny at the PH meal in DHS, replacing JoJo and Goliath...

Unfortunately, Darby is no longer a regular meet and greet character at WDW. There is some discussion as to whether she's gone for good (the general opinion is yes), though one of the users of the character finder utility (see my sig for a link) spotted her on February 11th at the Toontown train station area (famously known as the "teardrop" due to the area's shape).

I'd say that odds of finding her are very low - the teardrop area is a training type area with somewhat random characters. For what it's worth, these are frequently more rare characters, so if you are to find Darby, this is as good a place as there is to look.

Again, though, she is no longer scheduled for meet and greets. :( Best of luck!

Gosh, that's a bummer. She is such a huge part of the show - I'm surprised they don't keep her around.

t_catt - great link in your siggy. Thanks!

Try and hold out some hope. She showed up at the Crystal Palace in Janurary as we were leaving from lunch. I have eaten there 2 times before and no darby, so I was really suprised. My daughter loves buster, so she asked where buster was about a dozen times all day after that.

Word is, they are stopping (have stopped?) making new episodes of Tigger and Pooh, and are therefore de-emphasizing the characters. Naturally, the classic ones (Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore) won't be affected, but Darby unfortunately is (my own DS loves the show, bleh!).

As for the link love... glad you liked it! Please, everyone feel free to contribute your own character sightings. As you can see with the Darby example, it can really help others out to know where a given character might be found - especially if that character is rare. However, it's nice to know about even the most common characters, so please share your sightings (and pics, if you like!) with us. :)

She might be on stage in the Playhouse Disney Live show at HS. I saw it 2 or 3 times a couple of weeks ago, but I can't tell you for sure. If no one else answers this before DD4 comes home from preschool, I'll ask my little expert.

We didn't see her for any meet and greet. I'm sure DD4 would have spotted her immediately if she were around to be spotted.

The stage show is still going on at Hollywood Studios, and you can certainly see Darby there. I was only speaking to a meet and greet with her... sorry, didn't think about the show! :headache:

When you get into any of the parks go to guest relations. They can call and check to see if a specific character will be appearing that day, and they can check all of the parks for you, not just the one you are in. My daughter is desperate to meet Marie from the Aristocats and we did this every day of our trip (no luck, but better than holding out hope all day). We just got home yesterday & did not see Darby at all :-(
