Where is all the love for Disneyland???

The last few years I've been traveling to WDW during my vacation. This year my DH wanted a change, so to please me he choose DL area. Where are all the websites with information about Disneyland? Allearsnet.com, mousesavers, and sites alike give info mostly about WDW.

One could argue (correctly) that WDW is the heart of the Disney Corp. because like I've read so many times, Walt made what he thought were "mistakes" when he built DL (ex: not securing more property to keep building on), but come on, why is it the DL doesn't really get the "attention" like WDW!!!

Where are the sites for DL? I would appreciate any site info. Thank you in advance

Well I am *quite* biased about DL sites as Ive been a part of Laughingplace.com for about 4 years. LP is my DL fix as DIS is my WDW fix

LP is good for the overall not as nitpicky on the bad as Mouseplanet and Mouseinfo are-

The one thing Ive found is that DL regulars are alot more vocal and attentive to detail (both good and bad) than WDWers seem to be (maybe its 4 parks vs 2) but people seem to get alot more heated over likes and dislikes (If you love DCA be warned you may get your head bit off) because most go more often.

Personally I think DL is neglected alot when it comes to things and its a huge multi faceted issue but it is smaller with a huge AP base so they dont have the amount of one timers that WDW gets so I think the issue of "we have to WOW them" is sadly alot less at DL.

Management also I think played a big part. The last president of DL was great at publicity and photo shoots but was steamrolled by the upper mgmt on budget cutting and I think that *REALLY* hurt them. I think the new DL president Matt will be the lifeblood DL really needs (and he loves PAINT- which is really good)

DL is still my home park- yes it needs LOTS of TLC and a Tomorrowland but its still good

I thought Disboards was going to expand their DL section.

I read Laughingplace.com and IntercotWest to find out DL information.

I think WDW gets more attention because it is larger and is supposedly the #1 family vacation destination in the WORLD (so says the Travel Channel).

But to answer your initial question, "Where is the love" for DL?...RIGHT HERE!!!!

I think this particular Disneyland board has improved quite a bit lately. I remember the moderators saying they were going to try to make it more informative and I have noticed a difference. When I started looking into a Disneyland trip I looked at Laughingplace.com There does seem to be more debate there but I still got some good info.

And another good thing I like about this board here is you can ask questions about other attractions in the area and get some good info.

I guess it's just where you look and the sites you visit, but DL does get a lot of attention in the internet community. I personally know of more DL focused sites than WDW sites, as DL has a large local (and non-local) fanbase.

I have to say Laughingplace.com for sure. They have so much info for DL and friendly folks (as well as some intellectually superior posters who stifle up the place). But I love these boards the most. I frequent both regularly. Have fun planning your trip - I always do

Southern CA is awesome and the DL resort/parks are a big part of it all!

Defintely love for Disneyland here!!!

I agree with, it's not less love it's just WDW is such a huge desitnation(both size & numbers of visitors)
