Two years ago we went to Hollywood and Vine for character breakfast and it was great. Unfortunately it no longer does breakfast and we were'nt overly impressed with Crystal Palace this year. Where is a good character breakfast buffet for 2 adults (27) to take their parents (50s) and sister inlaw and boyfriend (20s) for their first visit to Disney. I would like to try somewhere new, but dont want to disappoint my family if it isnt good. It can be any park or monorail resort. I have no desire to try Cindy's BTW. Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks. :grouphug:

I think for those ages, the Donald Duck breakfast in AK can't be beat.

I would do either PSB in Norway(Akershus) or Chef Mickey's. I was very disappointed with Donalds, hot food was cold, characters rushed thru the room and you can't get into AK until the toll booths open which was at 8:ooam on an EE day. AK does not open the parking lot very early, it's their policy now. Donalds is also a long way away fron the entrance.

If you want to do Donalds, I recommend a later PS.

PS: I thought that Cindy's was very good, both food, character interaction and service. If you can get the PS, I wouldn't rule it out.

We have done Donalds at AK one time during each of our four last trips, including last week. We have never had a problem and absolutely love it. We always get a 8:10 a.m. PS on a non EE day. We will definitely be there again in the fall of 2005.

Well, we were just there on Dec 10th and the CM would not let us thru the toll booth until 8:00 am. I walked up and told them we had a 8:10 ps,(we were there at 7:30) showed him the Conf #, etc. He just said that it was now policy not to allow guests in until opening time (EE day).

Because of this we were late, but maybe we had a bad day there, because there was a limited selection on the hot buffet and most of it was cold. The cold buffet was OK, but because I'm on Atkins (65 lbs lost Yea!) I don't eat the bread and pastry's.

Well.....we liked all of our character meals. I think Chef Mickey's was great, we loved Crystal Palace, PSB was good, we loved the food at Donald's but the characters went by quickly....

I'd probably say Chef Mickey's

Unfortunately Hollywood and Vine no longer has a character meal... but if you would like that to change, you may write and let them know. The email address is:wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

Back to the question at hand.... my favorite character meal is at 1900 Park Fare. They have a delicious buffet, the service is great and we love Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, a representitive of the Pooh group, and sometimes the White Rabbit and Bert.

I haven't had the opportunity to go, but I have heard rave reviews about the Goofy breakfast at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club.

Whatever you decide, I hope you have a wonderful time!

Here's my top 3 for breakfast:

1. Cinderella's Royal Table
2. Chef Mickey's
3. Crystal Palace

The food at Cinderella's was terrific even though it is served already plated, you can ask for as many seconds as you'd like. The princesses were very warm and receptive as well. Nothing like the Princess breakfast at Norway in Epcot.

We just came back from doing 1900 Park Fare, PSB, and CRT. The best FOOD was definitely 1900 Park Fare. It was the only "serve yourself" buffet, and they had EVERY imaginable breakfast food including a "made to order" omlette bar. I HIGHLY recommend this place with adults!!

We just did Cape May at Beach Club on Tuesday. We usually do Chef Mickey but wanted to try something different. It was a LOT quieter. Great character contact... Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale. VERY relaxing, great atmosphere and good food.

We did Donald's (with an 8am PS on a non-EMH day) and it was mediocre at best. The place is huge so the food seemed far away. The characters did seem rushed so there wasn't much interaction. We are relatively fast eaters and were almost done by the time they came around.

The food was good and the service was fine - but it's not worth the price.

Hi,
My family would say Chef Mickey's.....Excellent food.....The characters took their time at each table and also came around a second time...My kids love this restuarant........HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!
