So I went to the DVC website........went to "member getaways", "dvc resorts", "AKV", "Accomodations" and got the basic list (coffee maker, w/d, microwave, toaster, stove, fridge, dishwasher, glassware, flatware, pots & pans).

Where can I find a more detailed list?? I need to know if there is laundry detergent. If so, how much? Is there dishwasher detergent? Again, how much? What paper supplies are included in a 1 BR ? Is there a can opener, wine bottle opener, etc., etc. ??

Thanks , in advance, for any help!! :goodvibes

Hi!

I don't know of a complete list but we can try to help you.

There is one single load box of Tide supplied. You should get one more at Towel and Trash day. So I always bring my own.

There are single packets of dishwasher detergent...usually several. If you need more of those, I'm sure mousekeeping would bring some. Also a mini bottle of dish soap. I've never run out of either. There's one tea towel and a little sponge for the sink.

The only paper goods are paper towel, kleenex and t.p.. So buy paper napkins if you're planning on cooking.

No salt or pepper provided. When I used to occasionally make eggs, I'd pack those. I'm reformed now though and don't make breakfast.;)

There is a corkscrew and can opener. There are a couple sharp knives, spatula.

Happy planning for your first DVC trip and just ask if you think of anything else .:goodvibes

If needed, housekeeping will bring you additional supplies of just about every consumable except laundry detergent and coffee.

They should stock the room with enough TP, paper towels, kleenex, dishsoap and dishwasher detergent to last between servicing. But if you run out of any of those things they will bring more.

We just got back from OKW 10 days ago.
We had a small box of dishwasher detergent, not single use packets. That's what we had at SSR last October too. So, whether you get a small box of dishwasher powder or single use packets might depend on the resort/what they are providing at the time.
We did not have a tea towel or a sponge, but called and Housekeeping provided them.

I agree with the others though; if you are running short on anything other than laundry detergent and coffee, just call Housekeeping and they will bring more.

I'm pretty sure we still had the packets on our last few trips including February. Did you like having a box instead?

I wonder if the tea towel and sponge was an oversight? I hope so.

Did you have a good trip, Sue?

That one could make iced tea in?

(We were in a studio before, and it did not have a pitcher, but we were wondering about the 1 & 2 bedrooms.)

Of the things you mentioned, the only one you'd have to provide or pay for extras would be the Washing detergent. You could take some in your luggage. They will also charge extra for soap, shampoo, extra coffee and extra towels. They will bring paper products and all dishwashing items that you might need.

in a 1-2 bed at okw theres one.( we use it all the time):thumbsup2

I've found OKW usually has the box of Cascade and the others usually have the single use pouches of Cascade.

When we go, we always bring our liquid Tide with Bleach Alternative with us. And Downy or Bounce sheets. Stain stick is always helpful, too.

Sometimes things are missing, but there is a list in the room and you can call to get the missing items.
We had the box of Cascade. I don't think one is better than the other.

There is a 2 quart plastic pitcher.

Agree with Deb about the Cascade boxes. We've had those more at OKW - maybe they've found people do more dishes there so a box works out OK and the other sites don't use as often so the individual pouches work better:confused3

Could be lack of elevators, too, Sue. Put those boxes out once or twice a month instead of everytime they do T&T or full cleaning.

Hi,

Hmmmm I have less than 10 posts (this is my first) so I can't include a link to a page in my reply. I know of a web page with some of the information you want. Rather than posting a link, I'll have to tell you where to find it without making it a link.

If you go to ********** dot com and click on the menu button on the left that says Disney's Old Key West you should find some information at the bottom of the page.

This particular page is for Old Key West but I would imagine the information is similar for all the resorts.

I hope this helps without being too confusing.

Thanks (everyone) for the info.! It's great to know that we can ask for more supplies while we're there.....something I did not know.

That information is also on the DVC website. The listings are there for each resort, and they are different per resort. For example, OKW has blenders in all the 1,2,3 bedroom units, but some of the resorts do not.
