you suddenly had one more day to spend in WDW. DH extended our stay at the Wilderness Lodge by one day...we don't have a park ticket for it - but I wanted some extra time to see the Christmas decorations around the resort(s) and hit DTD and/or Boardwalk...yes, I know - a tall order. We'll be able to do some of this on our arrival day and then again on our departure day.

I considered somewhere on the monorail line since we definitely want to see how the GF and other monorail resorts are decorated. However, like I said, we also want to do DTD and/or Boardwalk.

So - where in "the world" would you eat (not in the parks) - if you suddenly had one more day?

Well, if you are planning on going to DTD and/or the Boardwalk, then I would a choose a restaurant there. Spoodles is great for breakfast, or Beaches and Cream for burgers and shakes. DTD has lots of great options too.

If you just leave it wide open to anywhere, DH would probably choose LTT or LeCellier, and I'm not sure what I would choose...I like so many of the restaurants! Maybe I would say CP.

California Grill:love:
Artist Point:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Kona Cafe::yes::
Jiko:cloud9:

You won't go wrong with any of them!

Kona or Flying Fish for a sit down. But we really enjoyed Wolf Gang Pucks Express at DTD on our last trip, it was so good.

Kona, CG, Spoodles, Yachtsman..

The best restaurants IMO are in the resorts, not in the parks, so you'll have plenty to choose from :)

Narcoossee's in GF
Ohana's at the Poly
Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD is amazing!
:goodvibes

I should have mentioned that we're on the dining plan, so we'll have 1 TS credit for each of us...unfortunately, that means Narcoosee's is OUT.  Man, was I salivating over possibly going there! I guess we could still go there and just pay OOP for two meals.

I have been considering Kona -- we ate there 4 years ago and enjoyed it. Seems to get universally good press, too.

The places that we're already scheduled to eat are:

Dinner: EPCOT - Les Chefs (have the CP dinner package)
Breakfast: MK - Chrystal Palace
Dinner: WL - WCC

I already know I want to hit WP Express in DTD for a CS meal. Too bad we can't use 2 CS credits for a TS meal or something, because I think we're going to have waaaaaay too many CS credits.

Thanks for your input -- any others?

Boardwalk area- Yacht Club Galley (delicious) or Spoodles (consistantly good)
Monorail - Kona wins my recommendation hands down!

You can't go wrong with any of these!

Oooh - Spoodles. I've not been there for dinner and hadn't even really thought of it. I kind of had an impression that it was a disappointing place to eat, but now that you mention it, I might try it.

Thanks --

I would go to Kona for breakfast, check out Poly and get on the monorail so I can visit GF.

For dinner I would go to DTD and eat at WPE and enjoy the decorations.

Disappointing not at all, food is always good in my opinion. It can be a little noisy, but if you like Mediterranean you should enjoy it. ;) Sangria makes anything taste good!

Glad to have helped!

If I had one more day and one TS credit left to use in a resort I would go to...

Boma or Kona if I was looking for a 'dining experience' to go along with my trip.

or

Yacht Club Galley or Grand Floridian Cafe if I was looking for good food in a more traditional style.

or

Cape May Cafe or Chef Mickey's if I was looking for one last dash of Pixie Dust. (I know Cape May doesn't so characters for dinner, but they do for breakfast. Plus, there's something about it that gives me that Disney feeling. :confused3 )

Maya Grill at Coronado Springs Resort. The food was excellent--our best meal on the trip! I would imagine, also, the decorations would be beautiful there.

We had a last-day lunch at Kona on our last trip, and it was the best meal of the vacation!! Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you'll get a great meal!

1 TS Credit Left......go for Boma.....delicious, breakfast or dinner either one and if you like animals, bonus, you can spend some time there watching the animals on the Savannah....

If you really want to got to Narcoosee's you could use the 2 TS credits that you have left to pay for one of your meals and pay OOP for the other one.

Everyone seems to pick Disney restaurants- what about the restaurants say at DTD? I wouldn't mind trying Fulton's Crab house, personally or Portobello.
