are you staying for your honeymoon and why did you pick that resort?


We are getting married on Halloween and having a delayed honeymoon starting off at the Grand Floridian. I have ALWAYS wanted to stay there and my DF says whatever makes me happy! I've stayed at POFQ, AKL, WL, BWV and SSR - all were great experiences!

I just booked yesterday - Main Building Concierge for 3 nights - still can't believe it!

We stayed in a garden suite at the Boardwalk, it was perfect!

This is the one time I really wish we could stay on property, but my fiance's mother is changing one of her off property timeshare weeks for us to be able to honeymoon down in FL and spend it visiting Disney. So, we'll be just off property, not even 5 minutes from the main gate, and going to Disney every day. We're getting married at the beginning of October, and going on our honeymoon sometime in December, probably the 8th to the 15th. We have a regular family trip planned for Oct. 27 to Nov. 3rd.

that's a really great gift! 5 minutes away is justa hop, skip & a jump......sounds great! congrats!

We stayed deluxe concierge at BWI...

our room was right above the Boardwalk Bakery

Perfect! Although I think it spoiled...that was our first trip ever to the world and we're now kinda hooked on BWI!!

We are going to be at the Beach Club for our Disney part of the honeymoon.

We're going to split our stay between the Wilderness Lodge and Port Orleans French Quarter. We've done POFQ before, and WL looks very romantic!

We are staying in the honeymoon suite our wedding night in the GF. Then we are going to be saying in a Savanah view room at the AKL for the rest of our stay.

we are staying at the Grand Floridian. My DF has never been to Disney before. I showed him pictures of GF and the Polynesian and he chose the GF (which is fine by me!!!) We will be staying there and then going on the Disney cruise

We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside in April!! I can't wait!

We are staying at The Caribbean Beach Resort (7 nights total)before and after the Wedding, then we are going on to The AKL for 7 nights then on to The Disney Cruise Line for 3 nights ant The Crowne Plaza Universal for 4 nights. I had always wanted to go to the Caribbean as part of my honeymoon, so The Caribbean Beach Resort seemed perfect. This was all booked and we added the Cruise as an extra, balcony view so I get to go to the Caribbean anyway . This is our first time to Orlando so we thought we should splash out. I haven't asked for the Honeymoon suite or anything cause I'm hoping there is a chance we might get upgraded
The decision where to stay was so hard, I knew I definately wanted to stay at AKL, but originally we were going to stay off property, the free DDP swung it for us so we compromised and I got 14 nights on Disney property and the cruise, he got 4 nights at Universal (his preferred park)he is happy we are staying on property though as we have no transport so this was also a major benefit, he's just not happy about having to decide on all our ADR's

We're staying at Old Key West before the wedding with our families, then moving to the Wilderness Lodge for our honeymoon! We've never stayed at WL, but we've walked through and have had dinner at the Whispering Canyon Cafe (which I love!!), and we couldn't get over how beautiful the resort is. We can't wait!! It seems like wherever you stay in Disney, you can't go wrong!!

I absolutely agree! I mean, we're in Disney, we're with our beloved - we're married! sounds like a winner all around

and you're right, the WL is fantastic. my DF and I spent last Valentine's there...incredibly romantic, great bus service, awesome lobby...

If we could afford it, we'd stay at AKL. If we can get a good discount, we will stay at Coronado Springs. Most likely, we will be staying at one of the DTD hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd.
