Where in the world can I get ribs?

Coxmic Ray's is counter service too, and they have a rib/chicken combo that could feed an army. When I go to WDW, one of my goals is to eat ribs 4 times. This time, HDDR, Cosmic Ray's, and Flame Tree BBQ twice. Other faves are WCC and Clam Bake.

When you say Clam Bake are you talking about Cape May's dinner? I hope so... I have WCC and Cape May Ressies for Dec.!!:cool1: I'm a rib person too!! I'll Def. be trying out Cosmic Rays!! I've heard great things about it from alot of people! Thanks! April

Apparently, Boma puts ribs on the buffet on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

House of Blues has ribs too, they were beyond awesome!

Ooo, this is good! This is the first place we are eating on our first day there. The guidebook I got from AAA has a 15% off coupon so we thought we'd give it a try. Maybe DH can get his rib fix the first night we are there! It will be a tough battle for him as he also loves jambalya...

Thanks...I'm "trying" to figure out which counter services to go to so we can burn credits. This sounds great as DH can eat the ribs and some chicken and DS1 who isn't on the dining plan can share some of the chicken. I'll definitely put this on our "must go to" list. DH will probably never want to eat ribs again after we get back from this trip! :teeth:

DS had some awesome ribs at T-Rex Cafe in DTD. He's 11 and in a "rib phase" - gets them whenever and wherever he can!

Sci Fi and Coral Reef have them. Haven't had the ones at Coral Reef but the ones at Sci Fi were pretty heavy on the saltiness.

I thought the same thing about the ribs at sci-fi. We have had ribs at Planet Hollywood that were good. Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club.

We went to the Trails End buffet at Ft. Wilderness and my husband was pretty happy with the ribs there. I dont know where you are staying but its pretty easy if you are staying at one of the monorail resorts because you could just take the boat over.

These are the same ribs as the Hoop-De-Doo, plus there's fried chicken, mac 'n cheese, grilled chicken, cornbread. It's a great buffet and only is ever crowded during free dining. Highly recommend a trip to Ft. Wilderness if you can swing it for dinner. Then check out the Water Electrical Parade from the beach and see Wishes, too. They pipe in the music/narration nice and loud.

From the Fort, there are buses that run directly back to all the resorts from the bus depot near the Hoop-De-Doo and Trail's End, so you don't have to run all over creation to get back to your resort.

Mickey's Backyard BBQ! All you can eat ribs, watermelon, corn-on-the-cob, cornbread, etc... Wine, Beer, and as many Mickey Icecream bars as you like! Would only recommend it though if you have kids. Kids would love all the character interaction and dancing. No need to be quiet or stay in your seat here!

Seems like ribs are heavily concentrated over at Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge area, huh?

Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Hoop Dee Doo
Trail's End
Whispering Canyon

for table service meals:

Whispering canyon by far the best ribs on the dining plan, plus it's all you can eat. they are more akin to a dry rub, smoked rib.

Cape mays ribs are baked, but still decent.

For counter service:

Cosmic rays is hard to beat for the value. get the rib and chicken combo.

Flame tree is also pretty good.

I'm not a huge ribs lover, but the ones at the Hoop De Doo were pretty dang yummy! Not too fatty and nice and tender!

We have been to almost all the previously mentioned restaurants and I just wanted to throw one in that many may not consider. My DH and I stay either at BWV or BCV so we frequent those restaurants often and for as many times as we've been there, we still are amazed that Big River Grill is usually not crowded and the food and service has always been very good. I ordered the ribs last time while on the DDP (for a lunch TS) and they were great - my husband enjoyed his also - of course, with a nice cold been - give them a shot - you might be surprised

I really did not like the ribs at Sci-fi. My husband and son loved the ribs at T-rex though!

Best I have had at Disney is Flame Tree BBQ in AK.(I had to fight the ducks off but the ribs were worth it.) :rotfl2:

At WDW Flame tree is pretty good.

If you are venturing out of the world, Busch Gardens has excelent BBQ at Zambia Smoke House. They are smoked on site (the smoker is right in the front of the place) and you can smell them long before you get to the place. In fact, it was the second longest line I waited in behind Sheikra.

I am a reaallyy big rib eater. I tried them at Flame Tree and Sci-fi, and Sci-fi had some of the best ribs I have ever had.
