I spent the weekend chaperoning a retreat for our middle school youth. It was great, and I love the kids, but BOY was it exhausting. And then before bed I found out some really rough news...one of our church's youth has gone missing. Savannah was in my group last year but is now a freshman in high school. I know her home life isn't great because her parents got divorced last year and it was really rough on her and her brother, but she was last seen Thursday. I'm praying with everything in me that it was her choice and we'll find her hiding out at a friend's. It makes my heart sick to think about the alternatives. Please pray for her and her family?

I have officially had to start my yard work. It's 58 degrees here! Did you hear they had to move the dog sled race in Alaska 1,000 miles north so they could find some snow!! New England got all the snow this winter!

My boss has four different leaks in her office now. She has all the trash cans in her office catching the drips. She can't use her heater because one of the drips is by the outlet. She finally had someone come shovel the roof today.

I was wondering where she was. Haven't heard from her all weekend.

I'd love to say we made a quick trip to DW to celebrate DD's birthday but nothing that surprising. Thanks to an incompetent boob sent to repair my niece's phone, we were without phone or internet service since Saturday morning. Somehow or other he connected OUR phone line to her house and killed ours all together. And then there's the weather! Since Saturday night, we have had 7 INCHES of rain! DH was watching the streams and creeks today in his part of the County and one stream rose 4 FEET in 1 hour! We're on "high ground" and this is my back yard:

...and this was after the heavy rain around noon today. Now I'm in the process of preparing dinner for the family for Amanda's birthday (IF she can get to our house...DH just left to check the bridge she'll have to cross to get here...hope it's not closed )...will get caught up later.
