Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

My top three rides I want to ride at Epcot are all tier 1 Test Track, Soarin and Frozen. I will probably have to try to do one at rope drop on one of the days. Planning 2 days at Epcot or 1 1/2 day not sure yet. I want to really explore the countries this time. I don't like all this fast pass plus stuff with making your picks that far in advance. I'm not sure even what park I want to do on what day never mind what time I want to ride what ride.:headache:

:headache: Exactly! :rotfl: We did Soarin' our first Epcot day; Frozen the 2nd time we went and Test Track at rope drop on our 3rd visit. Worked out great...maybe a 10 minute wait by the time we got there. YES...explore the countries! We devoted one entire day to the WS...ending in Norway for our Frozen FP. We watched a couple of movies; saw the show in AA; heard the Liberty Singers perform Christmas songs; DH relaxed with a beer with our "new friends" we'd met at our table in Teppon Edo while I shopped...really nice, relaxing day. :tink:

HS or AK?

Is it a ride, meet and greet or show?

Rivers of Light show? River Journey ride at AK?

:thumbsup2 This is from an AK show; good thoughts on Rivers of Light and River Journey (haven't seen them yet) but not from either of those. :tink:

Meant to say comment on this this morning but got side-tracked! I am SO with you on this...WHY do you want to come to DW to POOL HOP??? :crazy2::crazy::crazy2: IF they want to experience the different "water features" (although I can't think of any pool that is particular different from the other :confused3) go to a water park ::yes::; if they want to enjoy different pool amenities just take a break from a park for an afternoon drink by a different pool every day but WHY "waste" an entire day "pool hopping"? Honestly...if they want a different "water experience"...go to a water park. We have some great ones in our area and we don't have to go to the expense of going to Disney. :rotfl2: I'd have no problem letting them pool hop while I go off to a park. :goodvibes :tink:

Don't they have gates around all the pools now? It's not like you can sit by any pool and enjoy a drink.:confused3

There are bars in the pool area with seating; I think the pool gates are to limit "visitors". Can't keep up with the policy :crazy2: but some resorts used to allow pool hopping and some were exclusive to the resort guests. I think the idea is to use your Magic Band for entrance so they know you're a resort guests and not a "day visitor". Wouldn't swear this "policy" is still in effect but I know it used to be that way, especially during the very busy times during the summer. I'd have to check on the current policy.

This is the pool/bar area at The Boardwalk (half of it was closed when we were at the pool)

The building behind Mickey is the CR pool bar:

This is the All Star Music bar...it's right across from the pool gate...

I thought I had the AoA one but I guess not... this is the WL bar...

Yes, most of the resorts, at least the Deluxe and Moderates, have locked gates around the pools. You must be a guest at that resort to gain access to the pools. There are some with bars outside of the gates, so they could get a drink, just not swim.

The 3 friends of mine (from college!) all live in Florida. One is a DVC member and has reserved them a one bedroom at the AKV where I will be. She seems to think she can "pool hop". Maybe she can as a DVC member?

Since they live in Florida, they can go to DW anytime. I thought the DVC member might have an annual pass but she doesn't. So, they are not as motivated to spend the money for a one day or two day pass. Plus if you go with me to the park on a one day pass, you might not feel like you got your money's worth.

So I told them I have left all of Wed. afternoon (when they arrive) for them and DS. We will take the boat from POFQ. So I will see them then.

But Thursday I want to be in Epcot at 9:00. Do the Seas, then breakfast at Sunshine Gardens in The Land. Then our Fastpass for Soarin' then run over to Imagination. Then leave and go to the CR for my painting class. I have to check in at 12:45 and it's over at 3:00.

Then I will go back to Epcot. Have dinner at the Rose and Crown and walk around WS. See the movie in France.

Friday is my last day. I will be dragging but I have to get to the MK by 10:00 for a Fastpass for Peter Pan. Lunch at the Liberty Tree. (Since they are not on any of my reservations, they could not eat with us). Then I will leave the park and take a nap. Then back for Fast Passes for Haunted Mansion and Pirates and then I will probably try to go back and go to bed. We will have to leave the resort Sat. morning at 3:00 AM and last time I was so tired I couldn't drive to the airport, fortunately Daphne could so we made it. But I will have to be up by 2:00 am to leave by 3:00 AM.

We have a 10 hour flight home! Layover in San Francisco. Then a 3 hour drive home. Hopefully by leaving at 3:00 AM, we can get home before dark!

Going to DW is a tough job! I will be working way harder that week than I do any other time this year!

Mom's Panel says DVC members can pool hop to all pools except BLT or Y&BC and there are some restricted dates usually during the Christmas holidays. Disney Springs is a good place to meet your group but I agree...it's rather odd that they live in Florida and don't have an Annual Pass. You're early morning departure and describing being "to tired to drive to the airport" is one of my "arguments" in favor of MAGIC EXPRESS. :rotfl: We've dealt with the airport traffic and returning rental cars in the past :scared: and I am so, SO glad we don't have to deal with nightmare anymore. In fact, the last time we rented a car (so we could go to Cocoa Beach, we returned it to the Car Care Center so we wouldn't HAVE to deal with that headache at the Airport.) I'd much rather "leave the driving" to them and take a nap on the 30 minute ride to the airport. It sure was quiet on our bus after the soccer trip. :rotfl2: We had to wake some of the girls up when we got to the airport...they were sound asleep! :goodvibes :tink:

One of the reasons I'd rather get a rental car is that I've heard if you take the bus, they want you there 4 hours before your flight. My flight leaves at 6 am. They'd want me on the bus at 1:00 am. I'd rather leave at 3:00. Daphne was fine with driving. No traffic at the airport at 4 am. You can get me in the balloon but never in a bus! :goodvibes:

I just loved the pink colors on the purple background :goodvibes; this is from a park "attraction". :tink:
