MK or Epcot?

Well, after getting up at 3:50 and 3 hours on the computer, I got about half of the fast passes I wanted. So frustrating! I do not like how they only let you book Frozen OR Soarin on one day but I was prepared for that. I didn't know you couldn't have Flight of Passage and the River ride on the same day at the AK. And I'm only planning one day in the AK. So I will not be able to ride the River ride this trip! Unless I want to wait in line for 2 hours. Which I don't.

I won't go on but it was frustrating and I only feel about half satisfied. It used to be so easy to go to DW. It gets harder and harder every time. At least by this time I don't feel like I HAVE to ride everything.

Oh, on Wed. NO TOY STORY! I will have to run from Star Wars to Tower of Terror to get back to Prime Time and that will be my day. There were no Fast Passes for Toy Story. I suspect it will be closed May 9th?

Oh well. I went back and tweeted some things and was able to get a couple of more FastPasses.

I am really going to have to try to stay relaxed about this trip. I don't have to do everything.

But, I do have 3 friends coming up my last 2 days but they aren't going into the parks!!! What!? The one friend I have spoken to wants to "pool hop". I don't do bathing suits. I have no desire to lie out in the heat and humidity. I have a 6 day park pass. I'm going to the park!!! So we will see how that works out. I may not see much of them.

Sunday: Spaceship Earth (never have needed a fastness for Spaceship Earth but other than Soarin and Frozen there wasn't anything else) and Frozen. Lunch in the Mexican pyramid. That's it. No Fast passes for the evening.

Monday: Irked that you can't pick like 9, 10, 11. It's like 9:50 so you can't do anything before that and they won't let you make a reservation until like noon after that. And going through the distances in the parks. I don't want to run from the Jungle Cruise to the 7 Dwarfs. So I got Peter Pan at 10:15. That killed the entire morning. Dinner at 4:00 at the Plaza and then 7 Dwarfs at 7:05. And that's it!

Tuesday. AK Safari in the morning. Flight of Passage in the evening. 5:00 dinner at Yak and Yeti. That is all I could book. Can't have the River ride on the same day as the Flight of Passage and I only planned one day at the AK and no park hopper this time.

Oh well. It's over. I couldn't even change my restaurant reservations. Everything is booked. Thank goodness I got what I got.

I wouldn't fret over not getting the river ride in Pandora, quite boring. It is a total visual ride, so honestly you can see it in full on You Tube and not miss much.

On the FP time issue, after you book one of the choices that they give you, go back in and modify. It will then give you more times . I did this about three or four times (each time it gives you different choices) until I found the time I wanted. I always have to do my fast passes two or three times. The first is just to have the rides set, then I go back and play with the time until I get the ones I want.

:rotfl: I was going to say the exact same thing Terri said; DD said the River ride was something she was glad she did but wouldn't stress over it in the future. Are you sure the wait time is still that long? Maybe Jeff will have some news on Toy Story but yes, it's very hard to get the FP you want if you have a set time of the day. DH and I were flexible and planned on the entire day at HS so it was no big deal for us; I think ours was maybe 11 or so in the morning...can't really remember but then it was no big deal for us since we just walked around and enjoyed HS the day we were there. Soarin' and Frozen are both considered "top tiers" which is why you can only have one a day. Again, the hardest part there is deciding which one on which day since we usually spend at least 2 days at Epcot, maybe 3. Gives me something to look forward too with the "2nd visit" :goodvibes. Had to do Frozen much later than I wanted but worked out okay anyway...Ed was able to join us on the ride since we had a later time. :goodvibes :tink:

When my daughter and I were just there, I made the 3 attractions pics and then went back in and modified them all to be back to back to back.

My brother and I do the same thing when we are there.

The River Ride really does not deserve to be in the same tier as FOP. I don't know what your touring style is like, but when we went in November, we went to the River Ride at rope drop and did not have to wait at all. We were actually off the ride before the park even officially opened. I don't think the ride is worth much more than a 20 minute wait, personally.

This is not from the MK or Epcot and not a light fixture; it's from an attraction. :tink:

Is it a ride, meet and greet or show?

My top three rides I want to ride at Epcot are all tier 1 Test Track, Soarin and Frozen. I will probably have to try to do one at rope drop on one of the days. Planning 2 days at Epcot or 1 1/2 day not sure yet. I want to really explore the countries this time. I don't like all this fast pass plus stuff with making your picks that far in advance. I'm not sure even what park I want to do on what day never mind what time I want to ride what ride.:headache:

Also remember on some of the rides there is a single rider line. They will tell you that you can wait almost as long as stand by, but not true. I think the most we have ever waited in a single rider line was 20 minutes. We do this at Rock N Rollercoaster, Everest and Test track. So no worries if you don't get fast passes for those. My husband, son and I do them together and even though we are not seated next to each other, we are always in the same train/car, etc.

They don't have single rider on Soarin' I guess. They do in California Adventure in Disneyland. I do it over and over for Everest. Do they have it on Splash Mt. I'm getting Disneyland and DW mixed up in my mind.....

Meant to say comment on this this morning but got side-tracked! I am SO with you on this...WHY do you want to come to DW to POOL HOP??? :crazy2::crazy::crazy2: IF they want to experience the different "water features" (although I can't think of any pool that is particular different from the other :confused3) go to a water park ::yes::; if they want to enjoy different pool amenities just take a break from a park for an afternoon drink by a different pool every day but WHY "waste" an entire day "pool hopping"? Honestly...if they want a different "water experience"...go to a water park. We have some great ones in our area and we don't have to go to the expense of going to Disney. :rotfl2: I'd have no problem letting them pool hop while I go off to a park. :goodvibes :tink:
