Innoventions?

party: Welcome to Texas a little early! party: Please, please, please don't say you hate our State when you step out of the airport and the heat wave hits you! :lmao: Have plenty of water with you and dress cool and get straight into an air-conditioned vehicle! :rotfl2: Heat index has been at the mid-100's this week; hopefully a few rain showers will pop up and cool things down. ENJOY the wedding! :tink:

It's been about the same here in NC, so I'm pretty much used to the heat now. Packed all lightweight and/or tech clothes. Planning on spending a lot of time in the hotel's pool, though we may take a day trip on Saturday to see the Alamo, because it just seems silly to go all that way and NOT sightsee.

:thumbsup2 Good...I was afraid the heat would "zap" you! My poor Goopy has been struggling big time between the heat and his heart condition. Been very worried about him. It's just stifling ... I bring him inside most of the day but doesn't seem to help much. Visiting the Alamo is humbling; one of our best historical treasures. We all think "if those walls could talk". :sad1: You'll be really, really close to The Riverwalk and that's a must...especially if you want to enjoy some of the best Tex-Mex food in all of Texas. Save time for a "cruise" on the riverboats and the shopping there is awesome. Our very favorite restaurant is the LaFogata Mexican Cuisine on Vance Jackson Rd. It's been a few years since we've visited but it was super good. It's not on the Riverwalk, in fact, it basically situated in a residential area that faces the main highway but the food was "to die for" and it was VERY popular. We had to wait about 30 minutes for a table on the last visit. If I'm not mistaken :headache:, you'll get to drive the "super highway" :rotfl:...speed limit is 80/85 and DH and DD LOVE it; I'm "gripping the dashboard" :scared1: when we're on it! What part of Austin will you be in? Maybe Lake Travis area? It's BeAuTiFuL there! :tink:
