Well, I don't know. We only ever had two parents show up consistently to our games--my mom and Megan's Dad. They stayed pretty quiet. No one cared about JV

Just TWO Dad's...that's sad. Where were all the other Dad's? You were one of the lucky ones then; you had parental support. I think EVERY parent attends our games and I'm sure there are a couple of girls who wish their Dad's would stay home! Not a lot of criticism other than "HUSTLE" but son-in-law (as the Redstorm former coach of 75% of the team) can't help himself. Comment's like, "Nikki, off the edge of your RIGHT foot!" ...things like that. I DO like the fact that they "stand up" for their girls...all of them. A lot of elbowing and tripping...hard physical contact yesterday and refs did miss a lot of it. They only issued one yellow card and even I could see a lot of times they should have carded some of the girls. I totally enjoyed it; a tense game and I liked the fact that our girls weren't intimidated (they were "throwing a few elbows" by the end of the game too ) and that the parents and fans were standing up for them. Going to be a FUN 4 years ahead when our "baby girl" is out there playing too. She's "chomping at the bit" to get on that field with her fellow teammates again!

Fantasy, Frontier, Adventure or Tomorrow land?

What does that mean? It's associated with food but not from a food service?? Sign? Display? Adventure land or Main St.?

I knew this crop would give you all headaches ; (hint) I'm "testing your memories" since I DID post a similar crop a few years ago. This particular photo was taken at the entrance to Adventureland but it could be anywhere in that general vicinity...the area around Crystal Palace or Adventureland. It's not a costume and Denise, just what I said..."it's associated with food" but not from a food service. It's not a sign or a display; it's just part of the landscape.

Good, good, GOOD news from the vet this morning on Goopy. I had to take him back for a checkup and his regular vet (my former brother-in-law) was on duty today. He looked at his chart and told me the note, "don't think he'll make it through the weekend" had been made. He was one sick little puppy dog but looks like the "mega antibiotics" and my chicken/rice meals got him through the infection. His heart is still much worse than his last regular checkup so he upped his medication to every 8 hours instead of every 12 and told me "no rigorous exercise" but he's doing 100% better than last week. One happy "puppy Mom" today!

I'm SO glad; I'm blessed to have him around a little longer and his puppy dog sister is SO happy again. Piper's been moping around like she lost her last friend (and she almost DID ) but she's back to wagging her tail again too.

Now y'all are on the right track. Yes, it's a living plant associated with food so it's not flowers or a tree and not in a topiary. It's there all the time and, being in Florida, I'd say it's not "seasonal". Name the food that is produced from this... (and remember, I've used a crop like this before ...).

Yes we are doing two events this weekend. Today was the 10k or 6.2 miles. Tomorrow is the half marathon or 13.1 miles. And my daughter will be dressing up as King Triton. So we are reversing our roles. She will be the dad and I will be the daughter for this run.

That's PERFECT! Can't wait to see the pictures. What was your time today? I think I'd have wanted to do the half marathon FIRST! So, no "party time" tonight, right? You have to save your celebration for TOMORROW night. Redstorm's first track meet is this Thursday; we'll see how "in shape" she is after a long break from running. Should be nice weather too; this track meet last year was FREEZING...literally! DH and I had to go to the car and turn the heater on between events. Shouldn't be as bad this time so looking "forward" to a long afternoon/evening at the track. GOOD LUCK tomorrow!
