Well my friends, I'm going to have to "put on my big girl panties" down here and get ready for being without my precious Goopy. Hopefully it will still be some good times but his little heart is giving out rapidly. He didn't eat again last night, wouldn't even take his heart pill, so I took him in this morning. Didn't help me when, as I parked the car, a couple and the vet technician were bringing out the couple's dog wrapped in a blanket. We all know what that meant. I just walked over to the lady and hugged her while they put her pet in the car. Goopy has a lot of problems and the bottom line is I have to get ready for the same scene I just witnessed. Maybe a month; he may make it for many months but I was told to prepare myself.

Oh Karolyn I hope the time you have left is full of good memories and lots of puppy kisses.

I just spent 45 minutes trying to get him to take his pills! He did SO good yesterday; no problems with pills, walked in the yard, BARKED when it was eating time, tail wagging like you wouldn't believe and many, many puppy kisses. This morning he has those sad eyes back and just lays there. Thanks Annie, wasn't it your Mom that just went through this? DD is planning his summer care and I'm hopeful....but then ....guess I need the Princess down here maybe that's what perked him up yesterday.
