True...but I'm always happy when Thursday rolls around...means it's only 1 more day UNTIL the weekend! We have an "emotional" Thursday this week; Redstorm plays her last game in the BJHS gym. Final basketball game and the spring sports are all outdoors. I think one of the hardest things to "take" is the fact that next year she'll be playing in the HIGH SCHOOL gym! Looking back to the beginning of her sports career as a 3 year old on the soccer field puts a little ache in the heart that time has gone by so fast.

Bad news for the Princess this afternoon; her duet partner has sprained her ankle and is out for 2-3 months...dance competition begins in 6 WEEKS.

She's heartbroken but needs to learn that's part of being an "athlete"...I classify dancers as athlete's just as much as Redstorm is. They "bust their butts" too to achieve success. They're looking for another partner but would be hard to do...they've been working on this duet since September!

I took dance for twelve years when I was younger. It is very hard work. Maybe they could turn the routine into a solo.

That's for sure...just as much work involved as those "2 a days" and conditioning days. She spends 5 days a week, afternoons and evenings, plus every other Saturday at the Dance Studio! They may look into a solo routine, DD hasn't talked to the instructor yet, but she's already doing one solo...she's using some of the Disney pirate music complete with "pirate boat" (that Pappy and Daddy NEED to build so Mimi can "size" the giant flag we bought from the POTC shop ) and not sure if the time is available to work on a solo anymore. Another BUMMER this evening...lost the basketball game (and a tie for District Champs) by 1 point! Plus...one of DH's crowns came off this afternoon ...we haven't had a good day!
