Forgot to ask earlier...is Nick on a 2 or 4 year program? ... and Stephanie is a sophomore, right? Not just the summer but where has the YEAR gone???

Nick is on the second year of a two year program. After he receives his Associates degree he wants to get his Bachelors degree. We'll see if he does. Steph is a sophomore this year. She is not looking forward to school, her best friend moved and is going to a different high school.

This stupid fire is still ZERO percent contained. We are all still packed and ready to go. If anyone dropped a cigarette over here on this side of the river, we'd have a problem. There won't be anyone to come help us fight another fire. So, I"m glad I'm just bored!

That is unbelievable! ZERO % contained??? That's what's so bad about a huge wildfire...it takes resources away from other places and if something starts there it's instantly HUGE before resources can be put in place to fight it! You'd REALLY be bored without power and internet!

Oh NO...bless her heart. It's hard enough to have your best friend move but to happen in HIGH SCHOOL . Give her a hug . That might be a hard decision for Nick; is he still going into police work?

I made a promise to the Princess that I'd teach her how to sew this summer. Took us all summer but this weekends projects look pretty good for her first try. We haven't mastered the hand stitching...she refused after poking her fingers 4-5 times ...but she did all the machine work.

Of course 1 dress had to be a Disney one......

Oh that is sad! That's great that Nick wants to go on for his Bachelor's degree!

Of course 1 dress had to be a Disney one......

Very cute! I always thought it was harder to sew doll clothes than it was to sew full sized clothes!

Karolyn already saw this on Facebook. They have set up 2 swimming pools of chemicals in the field below me and have a helicopter taking buckets over to the fire, which is just across the river, coming down the mountain in fingers.

At least the hand work is! Mimi's hands/fingers are going to "feel it" tomorrow! American Girl doll clothes was a lot better than the Barbie clothes I used to sew!
