How hot is it in Texas? ERCOT (Texas Energy Grid) said yesterday a record was set for most megawatts used...68, 538 between 4 & 5 PM. One megewatt is enough to power 200 homes during peak demand.

Thanks...and yes, I'm staying inside except for the time it takes to move the water hose! Trying to keep the grass green on an acre and the plants alive is a chore! I've moved my "pool time" to 7:30 in the evening too. DH even took off today! He used the anniversary as an "excuse" .

ya we are in a stage 3 water restrictions we have not been able to water the grass in weeks everything is so brown up here

Nothing special...take out for dinner and quiet evening by the pool.

That's where we have an advantage...30+" of rain in the spring eliminates the water restrictions...for now. Looking for something in the next few weeks though since we haven't had ANY rain since May...and wish the county would put the burn ban on NOW. This heat is "frying" everything and the pastures/roadways are brown ... like at Jeff's.
