50 and AC on? Sounds like she may be going through "the change"! I just looked at the picture of the almanac's winter prediction...your area shows BITTERLY COLD AND SNOWY. Maybe you need to start a snow removal business! Doesn't sound like you're going to have a "pleasant" winter.

It's tough, isn't it Jeff! But we all have to deal with it! My motivation is SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW! I think you need to change that poster for Diane...she "can't face the winter"! Redstorm is READY to go back! She's excited about 7th grade athletics and can't wait to get started. Volleyball uniform fittings this afternoon and first match is Wednesday. As for Little Bit...endless summer would be her ideal situation! It's going to be hard the first week or so~still recovering from getting those tonsils out but once dance classes start she'll perk up. As for the homework.....this will be me and DD after a couple of days...!

It was 50 degrees when I came in to work this morning. It was chilly and chilly in the office I was cold and had a sweater on. My stupid boss who doesn't give two hoots about anyone but herself came in and put the ac on. I said I was cold and asked her to not put it on, she is like I know you don't like it but too bad. She has one in her office I asked if she could put hers on and close the door. Noooooooo she doesn't like her door closed. I need a new job.

I'm finishing out some general ed. courses so I'm taking Microbiology, Women and Gender studies, Family Studies (last one and online), and Social Sciences and education.

My WGS teacher walks in today and she has a Mohawk and she just seems great!

High School freshman year IS scary! Wish her luck from me...she'll be fine. As for DS...hope that excitement stays there! I know/have known a LOT of college freshman who have "come back home" after that first semester longing for their high school years again! Wish him luck too!

Not sure about THAT! Guess I'm old fashioned! But then...my nephew and his wife come complete with "body art" , spiked and colored hair (as in pink!), sandals and "hippie clothes" (am I showing my age?)...and they're both LUTHERAN MINISTERS (and she's a best selling author of Christian based books)!

Yes, this is not an umbrella, it's not canvas, it's outside/inside, not an awning but it is part of a building and is close to the boat dock.

That's close enough! My next clue was going to include, "What object of Diane's Poly crop drove ME crazy?" This is the underside of the roof of the little entrance/information gazebo type building in front of the Swan from the path you take to get off the boat. It's the building on the left of the picture. I thought this was beautiful...loved the colors! It looks exactly like the underside of a beach umbrella.
