Sounds like you had a CHRISTMAS VACATION kind of day! My sister and I always watch that movie around Thanksgiving...it "puts us in the mood for Christmas" when it reminds us of all the "mishaps" that WILL take place in the next month! We're still puzzling over one set of icicle lights that are doing the same thing to us! Hope DH is okay...that usually happens to ME not DH!

No Ma'am, not in a parade.

It just was not a good day for decorating. We bought new lights for the tree too but they just wouldn't cooperate. All bunched up wouldn't really stretch out and I couldn't get the stupid plug/cord to line up. Everytime I had to plug in another set the plug ended up in the front of the tree and then at the end the cord to plug in ended up on the wrong side of the tree. I must have taken them off and put them back on at least 5 times. Then DH says he doesn't like the new lights, he likes the old ones better. I guess I do too these are a bit too dark and not bright like the old ones.


So this is in MK and not part of an attraction, shop, food service or parade. Next guess restroom?

Wow! That was a really good one Jeff!! I thought you had just stuck your foot up over water - which I totally plan on doing next time I'm there!! And good thinking Diane!

Tree is up and decorated. Lights are up outside but not without a few Checked all old lights went and bought new lights get home and one set of the new lights don't work, go back to the store and exchange them. Test all lights before hanging up they all work. Hang up and then turn them on and two sets don't work. Set them to the timer but they don't come on. Oh and DH fell off the ladder and hit his head on the ground. Good thing it was on the grass but he still has a bad headache.

It's snowing.

Ho, ho, ho! Oh the joys of the holidays! I hope your DH is okay! And I hope you will post some pictures when you are done and you too Karolyn. Jeff do you have a tree?

ya i hate ladders just for that reason you are always hearing people falling off of them


no we do not have a tree this year.. I am waiting till the sales after Christmas to get a good one for cheap lol

So sorry Jeff...you SHOULD have washed your car again yesterday so you could stay home and enjoy the snow!

Diane...had similar problems getting the lights on MY tree yesterday ; ended up with an extra 200 lights ... guess I got carried away on one side and NOTHING on the other. It think I must have 1200 lights on that darn tree now!

Denise...need to get the ornaments on the tree and THEN I'll post pictures. It's been foggy or rainy every night since we turned the outdoor ones on! Not good for taking pictures!

Is yours from a parade?

You have to keep a really good eye on DH. Even a simple fall and an impact of head with ground or other object can trigger a host of problems. About 4 1/2 years ago dad had fallen in the bathroom and had bleeding on the brain along with broken ribs and shoulder.

I have not seen Frozen yet. I did not see Brave either. I can't remember the last time I saw a movie in a theater.
