Where In The World #11

Then I'll go back to my REAL first thought :rotfl2: ...GOOFY? :tink:

No not Goofy.

Yep...on only 6 hours sleep, she was off to school...didn't want to miss "Tests on Thursday's" day! :rotfl2: Doctors appointment is set for tomorrow.

Diane...Redstorm will face that all next year; athletics starts in 7th grade here. She's 1 of 3 youngest on the Redstorm team; the other 10-11 girls do extracurricular soccer in addition to school cross-country, volleyball AND music! :faint: ... and there's a couple of them that are Jr. High football cheerleaders too! :rotfl: It gets a LITTLE :faint: hectic when schedules conflict but all the coaches work with the girls as best they can. As long as the grades are okay, I say give here the chance to do both. She needs to find her niche and now is the best time to do that! ( Sure is hard on parents though with all the "running around") :tink:

Sports schedules can get so crazy. Both kids do multiple sports year round. Usually one of us is going one way and the other is going the other way. I'm not complaining it may be crazy I love it and will miss it when it's over.

Let's see if THIS ONE is easier:

Park, resort or other? Test Track?

Oh poor Redstorm! I hope she gets better soon!

Thanks Heather...she'll get along just fine; hoping for a hard cast so she can play in the soccer game Saturday! :scared: It's a "badge of honor" for her :rotfl2:; she's the first one on the team to have a broken bone! :rotfl2:

You hit the nail on the head with "I'm not complaining...will miss it when it's over"; SO TRUE...I was LOST after last DD graduated and the schedule wasn't full! :lmao: Godson and niece took up the slack the next year with football and volleyball but it's not the same. :sad2:! :tink:

how did she break her arm playing soccer? I guess she fell or slide wrong

Yep! Those girls play HARD...bumped into a teammate; fell backwards; braced herself with the left hand...and CRACK. :scared: This is the most common break in young athletes and most commonly comes from (1) rollerskating, (2) skate boarding and (3) SOCCER. I think the worst part for her will not being able to swim the rest of the year. :rolleyes2 We still have about a month of "swimming weather" left. ::yes:: :tink:

For a 'non contact' sport there are a lot of injuries. One girl on DD's team went to head the ball and so did another girl, she got the other girl's head in her mouth and broke a tooth. She had just gotten braces on and the good thing was the braces saved her tooth. She wasn't wearing a mouth guard.:sad2: A few years ago the high school boys varsity team had 8 starting players hurt at the same time.

This one may be pretty easy too...lets give it a try:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: I know! Whoever claims it's a "non-contact" sport has not watched a soccer game! Heck...even the beginners end up on the ground...of course, as in youngest DGD's case, it's just "fun" for them to sit down a while and count the grass blades! :rotfl: Our girls DO wear the mouth guards...to much money in the form of those braces in almost ALL of their mouths! :tink:

I played soccer for 12 years, and managed to escape without injury (unless you count my teammate bumping my water bottle during halftime during indoor season and splitting my lip). In the beginning, I did sit down, but I was looking for 4 leaf clover! I do understand how rough it can get though. I was very lucky to have a PE teacher in elementary school who taught us how to roll when we fall, so I never tried to catch myself, but there were many games where the next day I felt like my ribs were bruised from all the elbows that were thrown.

As to your crop, is it Big Thunder?
